Can the lock box Borg weapons be added to the NPC Borg ships?

Do we know if there are any plans to add the Borg phasers from the lock boxes which have the tractor beam effect to the NPC ships? I think this would make them much more show and movie accurate and they would look great.

Would be cool to see the Assimilated Plasma Beams being used by the Borg in game too. I mean we do have enemy groups using weapon types that we get out of lockboxes, like the Heralds, Hirogen, Tzenkethi, ect.

and don't the Assimilated Plasma Beams look more like Borg weapons from the TV-series/Movie (as they're only in First Contact).

Well we have to consider that the Borg were an enemy group that existed at launch, so they were given stock plasma. Assimilated Plasma came years later. But it wouldn't be the first time they retro'd something new into a launch era enemy group. Hirogen used to use stock Tetryon, then got tweaked with the Destabilizing Tetryon after that came out. So... it IS possible. Although there are no Assimilated Plasma Cannons.

I don't recall any Borg mobs using cannons though so it might not be an issue, just beams and plasma torps.

Cubes, Tac Cubes, and Transwarp Gates have single cannons as well as beams.

And given the Borg themselves used bolt-type weapons (once, but they still used them) in TNG, I'm surprised Cryptic never made Assimilated Plasma cannons.​​
