First of - Well well well that was unexpected, just saw all the spoiled clips of the last episode of Picard "The Last Generation"
I find myself asking why give the letter G to a Constitution class III when I expected it to be a Eclipse Class. But hey its a spoiled surprise not sure why they gave the name to a smaller ship in the fleet, the Enterprise F was the biggest in all of Starfleet but in Season 3 you see the crew and it's legacy sticks to the ship at hand making some fans believe that the Titan A would get a spin off series. Then again you'd kiss the Eclipse Class USS Enterprise G - https://celestia.fandom.com/wiki/USS_Enterprise_G https://youtu.be/lSLrIjYy6JY out the airlock when the Titan A renamed as the Enterprise G. That's all Alpha Canon lol

As for the Beta Canon on STO. Players are waiting to command the new Excelsior II and Segan Class ships and hopefully we might be getting the Neo-Constitution and the Shangri-La Class as a Bundle or Lobi Crystal ship because it's Beta Canon and everything is possible thanks to StarTrek Online. Now are we getting any new Lobi Crystal ships at all because on Facebook I pulled a April Fools Joke on a New Lobi Crystal ship, a Voth Citi Ship Dreadnought - https://scontent.fbrs4-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/339134122_787560959455689_7100730372798151596_n.jpg?_nc_cat=100&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=5cd70e&_nc_ohc=7bi6Nk03utwAX_GeCDM&_nc_ht=scontent.fbrs4-1.fna&oh=00_AfAbLUri1EwuStyPUM4OGdQv1AnfMxxirWWa-pso3ONN2w&oe=644537C7

Some groups were hoping for the Proxima Class from StarTrek Legacy onto the game since STO did bring 2 ships from 2 StarTrek Games such as StarTrek Invasion and Shattered Universe, Some say they might see the Typhon Class Carrier on STO or unseen ships like the Sydney and Curry Class doing circles on impulse speeds.

They did a great job on the Terran Ships and the skins but any chance on getting Terran skins on 22c/23c ships because it's needed for the fans to play their roles. Now for the last final question is there anything big coming to the galaxy on StarTrek Online, please tell us!

/moved, /changed thread title, and /added spoiler tags

And on a personal note, thanks a lot OP, for just putting spoiler information out there for everyone, who hasn't seen the episode yet, including myself, to see without even making an attempt to hide it or warn anyone, who might not want to be spoiled.

Size isn't everything, Morrow. At least not where starships are concerned.

Trek's high power to size ratio was one of the unique things about it that was lost in later years. It was very realistic considering that warp bubbles probably have a parabolic power-requirement curve as speed or volume (or both) increase, the way that many other sci-fi field-effect drives do. It is nice to see they are backing off of the "bigger is better" bandwagon a little.

There were a lot of "is bigger always better?" arguments on the old "x vs. y" type debate boards (usually involving Star Trek and Star Wars) and usually it ended up with the Trek side eventually showing how power density is more important than sheer size, between the damage the "tiny" Enterprise could dish out along with its ability to fight at FTL speeds Trek was a real terror even with the crazy numbers the Star Wars tech manuals presented (which were not supported by any of the visuals, unlike Trek which showed a few incidents which supported some of the power level dialog).

The Galaxy class was originally supposed to be a huge whale of a ship, much bigger than the usual capital ship, because of its primary role as an ultra-long range explorer that could go multi-generational if it had to, but it ended up being smaller than shorter-range warships later in the series (and in later series) just because of the bigger-is-better nonsense and Hollywood usually thinks increasing size (in ships anyway) shows "advancement" somehow.

CBS probably just wanted to get the Enterprise name back on a "Constitution" class of some sort (a truly weird idea of fanservice, but that is NuTrek for ya) in case they ever decide to greenlight the spinoff from PIC.

Bigger is only better for command ships (which need the room for fleet command & control equipment and enough defenses to weather the inevitable attacks being directed at the obvious flagship), extreme long-range vessels that aren't meant to be resupplied for decades if not longer and colony ships (because you need room to pack not only the colonists but also whatever fabrication equipment will be needed to ensure they don't have to reinvent the wheel once they get there - and that's just if you're going for a habitable, life-bearing world, else you also need seeding for flora and fauna, pre-fab shelters and ample food, water and oxygen stores to keep the colonists alive long enough to begin either terraforming or basic element harvesting).
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents
