Something I was wondering lately I still got reward box from the last campaign event unopened, but I'm kind of stuck on what to get from the box, I got the 10th anniversary event bundle so I don't I want any of the ships that have version in that.
That said I'm not really a DPS chaser but if there's a ship that has decent trait or looks good I'm not gonna say "no" to it either.

Without knowing your playstyle or which character you're looking to use it with all I can suggest is to look at the available options and look them up on the wiki.
Although if it is a KDF I'd suggest looking at the Miracle Worker D7. Its the counterpart to the DSC Connie, but it is a sweet ride and well balanced. For a Carrier I'd suggest the Sarcophagus as it also has Command seating. It may be a brick but when you can pair Suppression Barrage with Beam Fire at Will, its not bad.
But again both are technically KDF options.
So again... research any ship that may interest you before pulling the trigger. Also be aware that you also have the 1500 Lobi or 2 C-Store coupons as options. During a Lobi sale you could potentially get 2 T6 ships, and of course the Coupons count as 100% off on T6 C-Store ships which are account unlocks.
The possibility that whatever ship you choose as an event prize could appear in the next Mudd's Bundle as an account unlock a few weeks/months later puts me off choosing a ship. Unless there is one in particular that stands out that I really want. If not, I've settled on going for the 1,500 Lobi instead. Not to buy the ships, but so I can equip multiple characters with some of the the great space/ground gear that can't be found anywhere else.
So I'm probably not of much help to you in choosing a ship.
I guess It depends what your priorities are.
There's a good breakdown on the possibilities in this video and a rundown on some of the better ship/trait/console combos towards the end.
Ask yourself "what sounds like it would be fun to fly?" or "what fits the theme I want for one of my captains?" or maybe "what traits(s) do I want to add to some existing captain?"
On Xbox, I wanted to try a max exotic damage SCIENCE! build so I got my science captain the Verne. For a previous event, I got my TOS captain the TOS Connie since I don't own the 10th Anniversary pack.

I'm where you are. as it is I end up grinding keys to unlock 10 boxes to get the phaser cannon for the toon of the day
Do you mean the phaser lance from the Deimos?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.
Got that one in a giveaway.
Like the Boolian Cannon it has its moments, but it is not the most fun weapon in my inventory.
