What I mean is this. Which specialization helps you the most whatever you do. It is not about mixing and maxing. I like command, but I always do something with torpedoes. I am looking for the best specialization for the non-specialist. Miracle Worker looks to me the best option, but are there any othe ideas?
For space: it depends on the ship. There are characters where I focus on the pilot spec first, but only if they're flying ships with really low turn rates.
On other toons/with other ships I usually go for Temporal first if they use any offensive Sci powers. Otherwise, I pick Miracle worker.

For me, being Sci mains, it's Intel and Temporal. They both help in Space and Ground, and I don't have to fret about switching in Randoms.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
Space, Pilot is a decent all round one because of the turn rate boost. Especially for larger ships like Cruisers.
I also tend to like Intel, for the passive Defense boost as well as Flanking with any ship. But I do level Command so I can get that Command Frequency trait.
Temporal is alright, but I feel it synergizes more with Science builds.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.
Temporal or Command are the usual ones i find my non-specified builds grabbing. Temporal has some nice bonuses for your solo captain, like a quick heal/escape when you're about to die but Command is about making your team better, over all. So, whether you're solo with boffs or up in the pugs, it gives a good all around bump to the whole team or a single captain until you decide to fine tune the setup.
