The Legendary Starfleet Captain's Bundle aka Legendary Vesta = Hard Pass for me.
I'm getting tired of these Level Boost RipOff Bundles. Considering the ship itself I have as T6 and T5 Version doesn't really offer anything useful new for Science Ship Captains.
6000 zen for 1 ship for a Level 65 Boost I can't use... Oh well at least the last one was only 4.500 zen...
C-Store Inc. is still looking for active members on the fed side. If you don't have a fleet feel free to contact me in game @stegi.
I want the ship and I actually like the look of some of the stuff like the EV suit and equipment. It says on the post "This level-up process is designed to be usable for characters of any level." so can I use it on my main character who's already lvl65?

You can get the stuff on a lv 65 character. You just can't boost a lv 65 to lv 65. But everything else would be usable, so the BOffs, the gear, the inventory slots... all of that is usable.
I already have the Surhuelh and use it as the main ship of a number of my characters, so the consoles are faintly interesting to complete the set (though the fact that it is missing the Lukari console is disappointing and lessens the interest), but if I had the money to get a legendary package in the first place, I would have gotten the Romulan multi-mission explorer set already which would negate the interest in getting the Caelian for the consoles.
Also, a pure multi-mission trait build is somewhat interesting from a theme point of view if the ship was not prohibitively expensive.
As for the Caelian itself, there is probably some combination of parts that could produce a decent looking kitbash, but again, at Legendary prices that is not enough of a draw to actually consider buying it.
I'm really glad they're releasing the Tenebris Tournquet EV Suit! Can I get more than one copy for my Boffs, or am I stuck with only 1? Please say I can get more than one!!

As of right now... probably just the one. But maybe if there is enough interest they may make another version that is more widely available.

Do note: all the ground and space items and boffs awarded via level-boost packages are *character* bound, not account-bound. Whoever claims it will get all of the items and be stuck with them.
That 'everything but the ship itself is bound to the purchasing toon only' thing on top of being faction-bound, instead of being single-use-account-bound boxes that can be freely transferred via the account bank is a large part of what made the Legendary Bugship pack so utterly useless to anyone who prefers a more DS9 accurate Dominion character since the game gives them no option other than to make their Vorta in other factions' chargens.
Even if just the polearm and boff were in a single-claim, single account box and all the rest of the added stuff was a total loss it would have helped defray the cost a little and made the $45 (sale price) for the ship a little more palatable.
so.. looking at this. the Vesta, much like the "capital ships"(oddessy, scimitar, Bortesque.. which lacks a legendary varient.. watch for a 2 pack KDF pack with a Bortesque and a Negvar or something. ) all have 6 varients. so this means you're getting with this pack, 7 hull types. 6 consoles, 6 ship traits.
by contrast, the Vetsa tier 6 pack costs 6000 Zen at regular prices, with the tier 5 vestas (if you REAAALLY want those consoles) going for another 5000.
even ignoring the Extras? I'd say, the inital sale price for this is, even if you don't need some of the other bonuses, a pretty decent deal .
that said it'd be a LOT better a deal if each of the goodies was in an account bound pack. I've got a level 20 feddy captain I'm considering snagging this for. problem is I've already got the elite services pack from a promotion on the char
Very interesting Bundle. Interesting stats, BOFF layout and additions. Looking forward to adding this ship to my fleet and seeing what i can get her to do
This game is not Star Fleet Command or Star Trek Timelines....go look at them if you want to see what a P2W game ACTUALLY is.
There is ZERO P2W in STO as:
1) You don't compete against other players.
2) There is no forced PvP.
3) You're not spending months building stuff and collecting resources that can be destroyed or robbed by other players.
4) Your stuff cannot be permanently destroyed, except by yourself.
5) You don't have to pay for multiple copies to 'level up' an item.
The list goes on.......
This game is one of the most generous F2P games out there, and you don't need ANYTHING from lockboxes or the Zen Store to be able to comfortably do ALL the game's content, which you can be at within 12 hours of game play.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
They really need to stop shooting themselves in the foot with these bundles. Let us *CHOOSE* between a level-boost token or *something else* (epic phoenix token, or 100% ship token, whatever, just something that is of more use to more players). You have the damn tech for it working with every single Mudd Bundle to date, so it can clearly be done. There are, I am 100% certain, plenty of players who would buy this bundle if it came with the option of something other than the level-boost token, but won't because they're not going to buy a level boost token for which they have no use.
Exactly that. I don't think it is that hard for them to put some items to choose from in there. They can do it with the Mudd Bundles I'm sure they could do it with the Legendary bundles. They just don't care enough or anymore about Veteran Players who kept the game a flowed for a long time.

So this is the first captain bundle that I will buy, and that is because of the ship. The previous bundles I passed because the ships were meh and the traits were meh. This bundle the trait is meh, but I love this ship, I already have the t5s and the t6s, but I just can't pass this ship up even with the overinflated price and all the bloat TRIBBLE. I asked around in my fleet chat and I'm not the only one willing to shell out the zen for this bundle.
I just wish the previous captain bundles had ships worth forking the zen for like this bundle. Once this bundle was announced I made another char just to use the captain token (I'm a total alt-o-holic), so I'm all set for when this bundle is officially released.
The ship offers nothing really. A standard cloak ? No one cares about a standard cloak (cloak lovers run BC or bust... and non cloaking players could care less).... full intel and 4/2 ok I guess.
Bottom line is 6000 zen (on sale) for one ship. No I don't think so. The level boost stuff is just fluff. I also agree with everyone that has already said it... WHY so many level boosts. Keep them already everyone already has 30+ toons. The last thing the game needs is more dill farmers. If people are playing that are really so new they want a new toon.... Let them actually play the game. If you only have a handful of toons the boosts hurt you... play the game learn the mechanics, and shockingly perhaps have a little fun.
I know Cryptic seems to believe if its Federation they can just make whatever bad bundle they want and it will sell. But this is silly. The ship doesn't seem much better then the T6 versions we already had... and the new trait is forgettable bad considering the state of the current game. You just did a one ship+boost bundle and charged 4500 zen for it. Cryptic if you want to sell level boosts just sell stupid level boosts already. Put them in the store charge 2000 zen for them and watch no one buy them.
I'm a little interested in the EV suite & the ground weapons look cool, but that's far too much money to spend on something I could only use on one character.

STO's F2P model is great for brand new players, but pretty terrible once a new player get's "caught up" on content, IMO. When you're brand new you haven't played anything yet, so the fact that all of the game's "playable" content is free is great! But once a player actually gets "caught up" on content (meaning they have played through the current content), new content is released at a snail's pace. You basically get 2 new episodes every quarter then have to wait another few months for 2 more. So yeah, it's free...but it's also extremely little and extremely slow once you have played through the old content and are waiting for new stuff.
There is no word on unlocking the T6 Vesta family consoles for all ships, is there? The 2 exotic dmg ones are not bad, and don't scale with Aux power, but only EPG.
Edit: Nevermind, already happpened.

every legendary ship thus far has included all the consoles. I'd b pretty ticked off if this was suddenly the exception. it'd proably be a "sale killer" for me TBH. a level boost ofr a char is "nice and all" but I'd be paying 6000 Zen in my case to effectivly unlock "all the vestas" without filling my ship slots with multiple variations
I'm not a huge fan of Cryptics monetization model, in general, but these bundles just make me lose more respect for the company. I genuinely hope no one is EVER buying these at their full price. More so, when the CM becomes "that guy" live on stream telling people "you don't HAAaaave to buy them".
At what point is Cryptic going to add a "Win button" that kills every enemy on screen but charges 100 zen every time you push it?

GOD DANG IT CRYPTIC WHY YOU TAUNT ME? I'm saving up for the Terran Bundle!
On a more serious note: As I only have the T5s I'd find this one more useful.

What P2W? There really is no P2W in STO. Everything can be done without spending a dime, and there is no competition to try and win.

I keep hearing "Play to Win"...what exactly do you need to "Win" in this game?
PVE can be done with T5 ships, PVP is just for fun...its not like SWtOR where they have seasons and gear/items as prizes...
This game is not about paying to win...its about paying to play dress-up
