Trouble with installing either with DVD or Arc

I'm a lifetime subscriber who attempted to install the game on my new Windows 11 PC with the DVD-ROM. The installation seemed to work at first, but when I attempted to open the launcher, nothing happened. It just ran in the background. I concluded that the DVD-ROM was simply too old, so I uninstalled and tried to install the game with Arc. Now my password isn't accepted, and it says, "Your sign-in information does not match our records. Please try again."

I've played STO for more than 10 years, and I don't want to lose it all because of this. What can I do?

I think you can copy your old game directory verbatim from one PC to the other. I have taken my original installation through 3 PCs now, always copying it over. Alternatively, you only need the .exe, the launcher will download the rest if I'm not mistaken.

Indeed, the "Star Trek Online.exe" file is the only file needed to install the game on a new PC. It will download the rest of the files in order to play.

If memory serves, whilst STO can be played by logging in with a username and password, Arc uses your email address and password.

Don't worry, I figured it all out, and I'm back in STO without trouble.
