I think the one thing that gave us the passion to pursue building holdings at one point is something we're not getting now.

It's not even possible to have future holdings that are better balanced to the current game without it.

Fleets have been missing one ingredient since 2017 and now it's affecting other things.

But I sure don't want a repeat of this. It was enough to leave a bad taste in one's mouth.

As painful as the colony was it probably delayed the exchange grind out by a couple years.

Not that anyone wants another colony like holding... frankly I am shocked so many fleets fully leveled it out. I mean my own small fleet has colony both sides and I know it costs some of our guys more $ and all of us more time then it was worth. lol
Yes, that's $3800 usd minimum in Dilithium alone to complete both factions. It been compared to having a new second job.

From what I'm seeing there's a vast number of Colony holdings left virtually abandoned due to the cost. It's no wonder so many casual and new players have trouble getting the Fleet credits they need to outfit their ships.

Unfortunately without further investment into the game we're unlikely to see much of anything let alone new or expanded holdings.

The Dilex was good while it lasted. Fleets did help with that.

The change to the KDF tour of duty rewards has probably helped a bit for less established fleets, since there's nothing else to do with that except level your fleet, and it only takes a few minutes a day (on average) to fill out the admiralty roster with missions. Half the time, I can get two tours a day only filling out the mission roster once. But I'll grant you that it probably isn't as helpful for fleet colony, given the sheer volume of dilithium that takes.

Yes it sure does help. It's pleasant having some earned dilithium around for upgrade weekends that otherwise would have gone to projects. We're not going as quite as fast as we used to which certainly makes for a more relaxed time as well.

Those Fleet Vouchers I believe are also usable for purchasing fleet gear. But yes the change in Klingon Admiralty has helped smaller fleets big time.

I don't believe fleet vouchers can be used that way. I mean, you might be right, but I distinctly remember having them left over on captains purchasing the various captain 'upgrade' 'gear' from fleet R&D.

If they work like Rep Vouchers, they should be. I mean we can use those for Rep gear, and it will draw from that before your stockpile of Dilithium...
I admit though its been a long time since I had any Fleet Vouchers. Been hammering Ferengi Rep more, mostly because of not only the Dilithium, but the ECs so I can buy the occasional Key to put a dent in my supply of Infinity Boxes. Still got over a hundred.

Thanks for the heads up. Like I said it had been a long time since I had any.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it. The Dilithium market is dead.

I'm simply going to say it. I have two LTS. Since 2011. I only login to passively farm dili.

I'm never going to burn my dili on gambling boxes.

When my two accounts hit dili cap I'll simply stop logging on.

There is literally nothing worth spending dili/zen on. The ships have long since become generic. And ships seem to be the only thing that sells.

CBS could have helped by not locking their products behind a paywall. I have too many streaming services as it is and we've already started cutting those back.
