A central hub to view and reclaim all account unlocks

i know you can reclaim a lot of event rewards on the event tab. but it would be nice if there were also ships and other items and general account unlocks from the Zen store added, so you have an overview of all thats available to new characters.

right now, there are different places across varying interfaces where you can reclaim previously unlocked items for your account.

it would be a nice QOL imrovement to just have all of it under one tab properly organized.

Agreed! Also the ability to claim multiples of ground gear for equipping boffs.

i actually forgot something. this should also include all the unique ship equipment like consoles from the ships you have already unlocked, so you dont have to reclaim and trash a whole ship every time you might want to get its console, experimental weapon or whatever it might come with that you want on a different ship.

I think for account unlock event rewards they have been moving to having all of those in one place. Some of the older ones are in the DL store, while others were in an Event Store, but lately pretty much everything from events has been going into a centralized location, so they are at least moving in that direction. C-Store ships kinda make sense in a ship vendor since we can see C-Store ships there anyways.

Would be nice, although for some ships they are bound to ships of that family, and in a couple cases... to that ship in particular. Rare, but does happen.

It would be good as long as they don't shut down all the old ways in the process. New Romulan and AoY characters have to go a long time without access to the event tab and the account bank so the only way to get other ships or equipment is via the cstore or dil store reclaims. Being stuck with the wrong ship (old T'liss or Pioneer), and often the wrong energy type, for the character concept until around level 10 gets old fast, especially for those who mostly play Romulan or TOS captains.

Its not as common today as it was a few years ago. It was VERY common with the T5s, and we sometimes still see it with event ships, such as the Breen ones.

It always annoys me that as a single person, MMO's still treat each character as something that needs to have individual unlocks for major things that really *shouldn't* be per character. STO's usually been pretty good, minus the lotto boxes, about having things being account wide. It WOULD be nice to have a better UI and hub for getting this stuff. Much like currencies, it's getting a bit too convoluted, in terms of how many places we have to go to find things that we've unlocked somewhere, so it would be nice to get something like SWTOR's "Collections" window. Just a nice place to see what you've unlocked, reclaim it, or see things you can unlock still.

STO used to have single character unlocks years ago for event rewards. I'm glad they moved away from that to account unlocks.

The consoles off most of the old T5s do tend to be bound to their particular line. Not all, but most.

Honestly I don't count the fused tail gun as anything but a lock on the weapon type for that particular ship. IMO that is worse than the spinal lance on the Gal-X because it not only locks you into Phaser to get the most out of her, but it also locks you into cannons to get the most out of her. The fact you can't even remove it... IMO that class needs another revamp. Lets hope the T6 doesn't have a fused tailgun.

Or if it does have a fused tailgun, that the tailgun is a limited slot that can use a regular front arc canon or DBB dropped in it to fire in the rear arc. That way it could be used with any energy type and either cannons or beams.

That or make sure it has a proc that is good enough that people tend to mount one anyway even if it is the wrong energy, like the Trilithium-Enhanced phasers, and even better if it responds to both the beam and cannon skills over/rapid and FAW/scatter to do its version of them.

Honestly I'd just say make it an experimental weapon, so its an option. And maybe unlock a crafting recipe for alternate damage types as well. However it is already overshadowed by other, existing experimentals.
