This thread is for short updates to STO's news that don't require a full blog - the kind of things that would normally be posted on STO's social media. I'll be the only one posting in here, so if the thread lights up, that means I posted something.

In thirty five minutes, (5pm PT) the game servers for Xbox and Playstation will encounter a strange gravitational anomaly on the edge of space. They will return moments later. This is to fix an issue that has been plaguing daily progress with the Winter Event.

Due to circumstances beyond the control of Star Trek Online, we have just learned that there will not be a Zen Sale on PlayStation during our Santa Gorn sales. We apologize for the inconvenience and lack of earlier communication.

There was an error in the blog post yesterday, the Dilithium Event this week is running on Console. PC will get a bonus dilithium event beginning next week!

The update this morning on console did not, due to a technical issue, contain the Kirk Class. We are moving to block opening the boxes and purchasing them until this is fixed, but if you already purchased a pack, please do not open it yet. Contact Support if you opened one.

Saw a few people asking this about the Lifetime Sub changes - if you are already at max character slots, this update *should* give you new slots.

The flash sale on Console did not originally go live as advertised, but is live now. We'll be extending the end time to noon on the third.

There are several crashes occuring with Klingon Recruits this morning. We are investigating.

We need to see if these crashes are being caused by the Klingon Recruitment itself, so we drew straws and are turning it off on Xbox as a test.

There is an error in the in game description of the Borg Resurgence purchase option on PC. It lists the reward as 50k Dilithium, when it is in fact the standard 25k. The events page has the correct amount listed.

UPDATE: We've found the cause and are hoping to apply a fix today, but we'll still have to do extra maintenance tomorrow.

We've temporarily turned off the ability to transfer characters to our Tribble test server, since a few of you had found a way to access some unfinished content and we don't want your characters to get bugged out. Thanks for understanding!

Short update on maintenance this morning: We are investigating an account server crash on PC, and game crashes on Xbox and PlayStation. All platforms are currently locked while we investigate, we'll keep you updated as we know more. Thanks for your patience.

There is an issue with the mission "Blue Shift," that is preventing progress. For now, we recommend skipping that mission until a fix is put into place.

Console Captains, two things for you:
1) There was a crash of a server on Xbox today that necessitates a restart tomorrow. It'll be during the usual maintenance time, 7-9 am PT.
2) There's a chance that the patch for all consoles on Thurs will once again require downloading the entire game. We're hoping they'll have fixed it by then, but you might want to prep for another big download.

We're aware of an issue affecting Romulan and Reman Bridge Officer traits on PC this morning, and looking into it. In the meantime, you may be able to fix it by changing that boff's station, changing their default skills, or teaching them new skills.

UPDATE: We will have an emergency maintenance tomorrow morning on PC to fix this issue.

UPDATE 2: The maintenance is actually going to happen at 10pm PT tonight. We'll have more info and patch notes later today.

The Sagan Class launched this morning on PC with a bug that gave it the incorrect skin. The team is aware and is fixing the issue as we speak.

In related news, we should never have let Ensign Mariner have access to the ship team's computers.

Our PC servers are experiencing some intermittent crashing this morning. We're aware and looking into it.

If you're running into what appear to be invisible walls on the new mission, that's a bug, not by design. We're looking into it right now.

Putting out a little clarification today: applying an Elite Bridge Officer token to a bridge officer will only upgrade their trait to Superior *if a Superior version of that trait already existed.* It does not add Superior to traits that did not previously have them.

Some updates to the Farragut Blog from this morning:
1) This ship will be arriving simultaneously on all platforms, PC and Console!
2) The Console takes 10 seconds to explode, not 15.
3) The Trait procs every second, not every two seconds.

It looks like our login server is struggling for certain parts of the USA, and you may have difficulty logging in from those areas. Ohio for sure, but we're fielding some reports from elsewhere. We're working on the problem now.

The Omega Molecule Stabilization mission seems to be struggling this morning, and not giving ya'll locations. We're aware and looking into it.

There seems to be an issue with claiming today's anniversary giveaway on Xbox and Playstation. We're looking into it right now, and will keep you updated.

Looks like there's some kind of issue with logging in on PC, we're investigating. Due to the same technical issues we were struggling with last night, this morning's patch has been delayed until a very nebulous "later today." We'll keep you updated as best we can. We'll be extending the Voth Event and the upcoming Galactic Red Alert on PC after we've solved this issue, so don't worry about missing progress!

There was a technical glitch this morning, and if players would still be on cool down for progress in the Voth event, they will still be in cool down for First Contact Day. We're investigating.
