I was wondering if anyone knew what this Christmas' Grand Prize Ship is going to be? Well, if it's going to be a Ship at all, of course.
It does still make me laugh that with the Summer and Winter Events, which have Ships as prizes, that all the missions to earn them are Ground...I'd love a space mission.
So we'll never get a fekirhi ship that can use the only actual fire based weapon in the game.
We've had three already. Escort, big damn dreadnought, carrier. (Although I confess I cheated somewhat, I got the big damn dreadnought from the Mudd Market when it was on sale a while back... I had missed that year's event.)
I mean the Phlogiston Projector experimental weapon: https://sto.fandom.com/wiki/Phlogiston_Projector since none of the fekirhi ships have an experimental weapon slot they can't use it, yes you can use the fire consoles on another ship but I was wanting a fekirhi ship which could use the projector. Makes no sense how they all get consoles to boost fire damage but none of them can use fire weapons. If they released the other fekirhi escort I've seen NPC's use then it could've been possible it would have a exp weapon slot and could use it but alas.
I just wish they would make the entire breen/felkiri unlockable. I would like to get both for some similar characters with all consoles(including the older t5 and older ships.). Maybe they could sell it as a bundle in the cstore. Mudd's is too expensive to get realistically. Make it a 5,000 zen pack and have it available on holidays. Call it the holiday special bundle.

You're not going to get event ships at normal c-store prices, and definitely not for less than normal ships.
Cryptic wants people to log in and play the events. If people know they can get the event ships cheap instead of it costing an arm and two legs, they are less likely to feel Fear Of Missing Out and become more likely to skip events.
The common assumption is that it may be the Eisenberg class. But again, that's an assumption.
That sounds like something they'd do, so I'd place my bet on that too. Their sales depend on pushing for that style to be or at least appear to be more popular in game.
Cookie Saucer, yule log or swiss roll warp pods, gum drop bussards, gingerbread struts, candy cane torpedoes, etc.
I support this (even if I dislike it) - variety so everyone can enjoy their unique styles & approaches. The red baron painted his plane red to taunt and intimidate by reason of becoming a highly visible target. The cat is out of the bag after all in this game with alien ships, cross-faction flying, that it feels like nothing matters anymore, so why not.
Design number three looks like it took some inspiration from the Steamrunner and/or Akira ships, so that one may not be that interesting. The fourth one is very different though and would be a good event ship.

I think it does look interesting and would've been far more consistent with the other Risa ship designs, I am still salty about it losing and never used the ship as a result, would've been interesting as a torp boat on my tac, I hope they can bring it back as a skin choice for the Risa Sci ship in the future. The current winning design looks like an Elachi ship ffs.

Or, his energy ball, with chain link fence console.
Candy cane nacelles, a cookie saucer...ooh, even just a candy vanity shield would be more fun than a ship I'll never fly.
What weapon is that?
Candy Cane vanity shield sounds cool
Maybe even a gingerbread vanity shield too, with icing for highlights.
And knowing is half the battle!

Or, rebranded as the Krispy Kreme Class.

There are actually some interesting designs in there - some of which don't even look close to anything we currently have in-game.

The fifth one in that picture for example, with the elevated part covering the full length of the saucer looks nice.
Similarly, there are still unused designs from other contests like the Risa one.
