Mailbox showing new mail when empty

Hi my mailbox is showing as there is new mail in game but it is empty I have tried sending myself mail which I received then deleted and this did not solve the problem the support team have already said it appears too be an in game bug. Ps I am playing on xbox

Mod note: Has also been seen on PC.

    I know my phone wouldn't let me post on Xbox forums I used my pc to repost on there again

    To be fair... we don't have specific forums for console, but we do have a section for bug reporting that you've already posted in...

    Although I HAVE seen this behavior in the past on PC as well recently.

    As this may be a cross-platform one... I'm gonna leave this one open and add a note to your OP.
