So in a news post that was, I think, accidentally (was dated April 12th) put up on the main page and now removed, it mentioned that the Premium T6 Choice for the event campaign would be a "once per account unlock for a single ship only" Does that imply that the ship will be account unlocked for all your characters?
It also mentioned the return of the Voth Advance event starting April 22nd and will run for 3 weeks. Prizes include the nanopulse Targ, and the Targ of Grethor, 25k dillithium, etc. and then all the usual buyout options and what not.
The choice is still 1 ship for 1 character if you pick a promo or lock box ship. You are still limited to lock box and promo ships released before 12/31/2020.
I am pretty sure that what they said was that the options are a choice between two regular T6 C-store ship tokens that unlock those two ships for the entire account, or some amount of lobi which can be used to by a ship or ships (or other things) that are character bound like everything else from the lobi store is, or a single premium ship choice box that can be opened by anyone on the account ONE TIME and the ship it unpacks locks to the character who unpacked it (just like how normal Infinity boxes work).
You only get one premium ship box per account from the event so you have to choose the character who will unpack it and then they alone get a premium ship of your choice from the list it opens up, no other character gets a ship from that option, and the ship CANNOT be transferred to any other character after unpacking.
No it's a one time unlock for a single ship on that toon only. Unless they specifically come out and say it's going to be account unlock, it's only for a single toon.

I didn't know the OP was talking about something specific to console, I only play PC so I forget there the events are not always the same between the platforms. It would be handy if posts were automatically tagged with the platform(s) the poster uses.
People need to stop reading into every tiny little word as a possible indication that the reward will be account unlock. Cryptic has explicitly said it will NOT be, and that simply is not going to change. If by some miracle Cryptic DOES change their mind (you're probably more likely to win the lottery than for that to happen), they will come right out and very clearly state that they changed their mind instead of being vague about it. They know we WANT it to be account unlock, but it just is not going to happen.

OP claims "it was removed" so my guess is the console NEWS post appeared briefly in the PC NEWS rotation before Cryptic's roofreaders and lityqual assurnancing noticed the mistake

lol luv the lottery part, but I agree if & that's a remote if Cryptic changes their minds then they'll announce it probably very directly though in this circumstance I tend to agree with their delving out the rewards minus I think the T6 coupons option should be tradeable.

I agree. There's too much of players trying to trip up Cryptic by claiming things aren't clear or something implies something else.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
As I understand it, the reward itself will be tradable amongst your account - when you claim it, you'll get a box you can trade between your characters. But once you open it into a ship, the ship is on that character permanently.

Given what happened with ship slot coupons, I'd still be careful to claim it on the character where you think you'll want it. Just in case. My support ticket dealing with items being "consumed" without player input is celebrating its 9 month anniversary today. I don't want anyone else to have to go through that.

The notice for the console version of the 5-event campaign is still there on the XBOX & PS4 tabs: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/xbox/star-trek-online/news/detail/11486803-the-voth-advance
