When I am moving to a TFO map I tend to get disconnected from the server. Of course I'll log back in as quickly as I can sometimes I can't get into the map other times I can. Of course if I can't get into the map I get penalized for an hour.
Anybody have an idea why this happens? Today I completely uninstall the game and didn't download it the arch insulation from the website and yet it installed it in the program file x86 directory. I was expected to installed in the program file 64-bit directory. So it's Star trek online_en/Star trek online/.
My Comcast internet speed is 24 MB/3.7 MB. Windows 10 pro. The game is installed on a mechanical hard drive. Would place it on an SSD help?
Thanks

First, SSD would only help load speed, not your connection, but most likely, which has already been pointed out, could be a couple dozen other things. STO requires <1Mb/sec to be play, so your speed is not an issue. Had this running on a line that was less than 3.6 before.
Considering Xbox live went down around the same time last night, I'd say something was amiss in the US with MS and possibly other services. Other things that can cause this are IP conflicts at home, so reset your router. You could also be being throttled by your ISP, or Anti-spam kicked in somewhere. The list goes on (yes, even bad weather), but generally, a reset/reboot will do someway to resolve it.
