Leap of Faith - Summons not working

Aside from how annoying this featured episode is, I've come across a bug that makes things even worse.

Summon abilities - at least, security escort for tactical captains and the harmonic lure kit module (which summons hur'q attendants) do not work. Security team cannot be used at all and the harmonic lure does not summon anything when activated.

I did notice that engineer turrets and drones still seem to work, and the hur'q summoned by my ground trait (when being hit, forget the name of the trait) works, but those abilities above do not.

Targs, Mastiffs and other device based pets also don't work.

I thought this was intentional, as the whole fight isn't "real" and so no reinforcements from your ship could beam in. The Gre'thor Targ should technically work I guess, but eh.

In my experience, there's several episodes where the lore prevents certain beam-in abilities. This includes devices and some active doff bonuses. Places include Mycelial Realm, Mirror Bajor, and apparently Gre'thor.

I do think that the Captain skill Security Escort should possibly be exempted, like on Nukara Prime, which locks some of these things out but beams Escorts in with EV suits. Like the Orbital Strike and Nano Infestation for the other careers, it's supposed to be a powerful move.

But I do think this is Working As Intended.

I considered the lore implications of 'beaming in' reinforcements at first as well, but then realized my engineer boffs are still able to beam in their turrets/stations, which kinda puts that theory out.

engineers aren't beaming their stuff in, though, they're fabricating it...don't ask me how they do that with equipment small enough to fit on the body, they just do because video game magic
Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

It was always my understanding that they're just beaming in preconstructed turrets and devices from the ship, they use transporter animations when summoning fabrications after all.

I suppose they could be using micro replicators or personal transporter equipment with the objects having their patterns pre-stored.

I think they beam them in, micro-replicators that fit in a tricorder open a big can of worms in-universe 😂 They use the 'cargo transporter' beam animation (I think this is a thing, but I may be misremembering stuff).

But if they couldn't, engineering characters would be crippled during the episode. Only ability that shouldn't work is orbital strike - then again, the Risa module with the orbital strike animation probably works because it's a kit.
