Considering I already purchased the 3 Nebula-class ships individually, I just can't justify purchasing it just for a fleet ship module.

That being said, I have to give STO's model makers a lot of credit. They really did their homework here.

They aren't asking you to rebuy. The skins are freely available to those that own the ships already.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

"Year of Klingon" only means that they are going to revamp the Klingon mission line this year, nothing else. We don't have to read the tirade on every new release, don't we?

So the KDF is still a red headed stepchild...but they get a new jacket to look a little prettier so that makes it all better?

Why even bother calling it the year of the klingon if all it's going to be is some touch ups? They may as well just call it the update of the klingon

Just another Bortasque effect...they half TRIBBLE it and when it things don't pick up they use it as a excuse for a few years as to why KDF gets no love. Why don't they just admit they want the game to be Starfleet Online and be over with the charade already? Instead of putting as little effort as they can every few years then act surprised when everyone still wants to play Fed.

It'd help if we'd stop looking at STO as a MMORPG that is supposed to be a representation of the world of Star Trek with equal factions. It is not. Klingons were planned to be a bonus PvP character and the games story and focus was always supposed to be Starfleet, just like the shows. The forming of the Alliance put every hope there was for faction gameplay to bed years ago. But there is plenty of Klingon content in the game, we have quite a lot of Klingon focused missions and story lines and the revamp to the storys and voice overs they do this year are quite substantial.

Just stop pretending this is a diehard faction based game. It isn't. You don't have to pick a side. I enjoy Starfleet and the Klingon content in the game equally and I don't care at all for Jem'Hadar or Romulans, but nothing of the one thing takes away from the other. We'lll get all the weird PIC Romulan swordplay nonsense at some point, this will be a period which would offer nothing interesting to me. Maybe at one point we get a free ELITE style game in the Star Trek universe, with deep world building. Then I'd be with you and would welcome more focus on all factions equally.

I would hope we'd get Targ handling and Targ breeding at some point, that'd be my YoK wish, but realistically it's meant to say they touch-up on what we already have this year.

Doesn't mean they couldn't show the KDF a little more love...it's not like people are asking for the KDF to have a lineup of ships the size of Starfleet or anything...but the Devs have sabotaged the KDF over and over again to use as a flimsy excuse as to why they don't get any love. They've done the same with the Romulans too...

That's a slap in the face to the players and no wonder everyone wants to play Fed...when they get EVERYTHING. Maybe if they didn't hand F-Us to anyone that isn't the blue faction the other factions would have more players.

Why play a faction that is constantly ignored unless you're hardcore into them? Every few years they offer the KDF a few morsels then act all surprised that most players prefer gluttony the UFP enjoys

True, and it is even worse for the Dominion, at least the KDF has Klingons available as a player race while the Dominion doesn't even have their canon officer corps race (the Vorta) available at all. Worse, since the Jem'Hadar are all constructed as ersatz males the faction is also sex-locked which is something players tend to hate in games that have it. It makes me wonder what the devs were thinking since even in games where sex-locked classes come out in matched pairs like BDO does (for example Ninja and Kunoichi) the practice generates a lot of hate.

Year of the Klingon is still barely started so there are a lot of opportunities left for KDF players to get more than usual attention from the devs before it ends next summer. And as it is they are still number two out of four "factions" so it is not like they are dead last.

That uneven attention isn't limited to factions either, the Nebula is a good example of that. It is getting another quality pass while some even older ships like the Nova never got one at all.

I would like to see a KDF ships of the line, but really, what ships are there that qualify, B'rel, Vorcha and the K'tinga. I think it's safe to say you won't see a t-6 K'Tinga in the C store, although I would welcome a vanilla one, no fancy temporal or hangars.. just a shared Boff slot, no bells no whistles.

I brought this up in my "ships that still need a T6 version" thread, but Klingon faction ships are weird in that, unlike Fed and Rom ships, which generally stay one size throughout the tiers, the Klingon faction are get bigger throughout the tiers, but are still obviously meant to be the same ship.

Like, the T2 Somraw, the T3 Qorgh, the T4 Pach, the T5 Qin, and the T6 Qa'Tel, are all obviously just upgrades of the same ship, though only the T5 and T6 versions can use the same skins because all the other ships are different sizes.

They could still do a Klingon "ship of the line" like bundle for KDF ships. It would just be a little bit different and be like the "Raptor ship of the line" bundle.

I don't think they are supposed to be the same ship at different sizes so much as they just tend to design ships of the same role a lot alike, a sort of pragmatic "if it ain't broke don't fix it" design paradigm. They could have originally been house designs with a particular theme or something too and they just got used to using particular configurations for each roll.

I had almost completely forgotten & wrote-off this newest bundle release but then I saw, I guess yesterday, it released at -35% of its 6k zen price making it 3900 zen. I think originally the announcement was just -20% off.

Still too much for any player that already owns the T6 & maybe the T5 too in my opinion, but for any player that don't own the T6 Sutherland, T5 Nebula Retro, & the T3 Nebula this is a better deal than I thought Cryptic was going to offer, tossing in a Fleet Ship Module too.

So: T6 Sutherland version, T5 Nebula Retro version, T3 Nebula version, 1 Fleet Ship Module & the various materials & skins all for 3900 zen is an impressive deal IF a player don't own the T6. After initially rolling-eyes at buying it I'll have to check if useful for my account & reconsider buying. Well done by Cryptic imo at this price-point.

T3 is (was? They removed low tier ships methinks) 1000 zen, t5 2000 and t6 3000. The bundle is a good deal on sale if you want all of those, regular priced it's just the compilation of all 3 purchases. Yes it lets you have one fleet version free at least.

I think it is intended, suppose to at least, if someone bought this bundle the T3 still unlocks account-wide then. At this stage I think the T3's only use is for Admiralty. I wasn't a fan when Cryptic removed the T1-T4 ships zen purchasing option.
