You may not log in from this IP address

Hi,

I am trying to login today and I keep getting the error message "You may not log in from this IP address". I am not using any VPN Software nor Proxy... Anyone having this problem? Is this bug relate to the login problem yesterday night?

Regards,
Charles

I tried Steam, Origin, Uplay, battle.net, Arc and other MMO/MMORPG Launcher. All works perfectly except STO Launcher... I have also checked if Arc and Perfect World Entertainment products is now unavailable in Germany, but It does not seem to be the case... I have opened a Ticket on Arc Support, I hope they will find a solution to this.

I do not know how but after restarting my router, STO Launcher seems to work again.

I have this problem now as a new users, I registered, never played before and came across this. Seems an odd way to block someone, when you consider that IP's change all the time. unless its my region, but then why would it be available in Hong Kong if I can not use it?

I know China is banned from Star Trek Online, which is weird considering it's run by a Chinese gaming company.. I guess they just included Hong Kong in that list? Even though it's a citystate.

Yes I am having this problem with my home wifi in Tokyo. I have a dynamic ip and support authorized my IP address but because my ip is changing it gets blocked again. I have no problem using my static pocket wifi. I read an old thread that said a similar problem happened with Korean ip address years ago and then at some point resolved itself.

It seems to happen more often with overseas ips—and especially in Asia.

As has been noted Star Trek is not available in certain Asian countries like mainland China and North Korea. It may be confusing what country you are in—

But people in South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Japan should not be affected. On the other hand the Asian player base is small—so it is hard to access how many people are affected.

If other people are having this problem too—I hope it can be resolved. My pocket wifi has data limits. I will try to log in today and see if I am still having this problem—but I think I have been affected for 2 weeks roughly

Sorry. I am researching this more, and I don’t think this comment was helpful.
