don't know how many people know this but they will not bring those missions back. if any of you have an temp agents char that hasn't gotten to those missions you will have already received those rewards. i call this incompetence on their part. not only do have we lost the temp agent part but we also lost all the unique items from those missions. who ever they choose to lead sto needs to be fired in my opinion. cause they will lead to sto's down fall.
Except they have already said they will bring them back so...
People need to understand something about statements like that: plans change.
I'm sure it was "true"(aka their intention) when it was said. However, more time that passes the less likely it will actually happen. That doesn't mean they "lied", because a lie is saying something you know isn't true (at the time you say it). But no, I don't think it's actually going to happen anymore.
It is also very likely that if they do bring them back it would be in a crippled form in the "available" tab instead of as skippable episodes (since they finally got the skip function working correctly in the last year or so the "available" tab is obsolete since anyone who wants to skip it could do so if it was still back in the episodes tab).
And a lot of the stuff in there does not launch in the first place even if you are level 65 because the prerequisites were not properly turned off in many cases and there is no way to know what those are with them off in limbo like they are. And if by chance you have done the prereqs you have almost certainly already done the ones that originally followed the ones exiled to the "available" tab so they are already spoilered.
Anything in "available" is not available at the point in the overall arc where it has any relevance anymore, and since the rewards are still the ones for the original level few bother playing them. And that is a shame since some of them, like the Spectres arc, are among the best of the episodes in the game.

Except they talked about it like two weeks ago on the livestream. This isn't some distant, far back in time, comment.
Let's be clear, shall we? First, did they bring it up themselves or were they just responding to someone asking? Here is why that matters: if they brought it up themselves it shows it's actually on their minds(meaning they have been talking about it internally). If they were just responding to someone else, then like so many other answers it could simply be them being 'nice' and wanting to give some kind of response to the questions being asked.
That said, which of these 2 statements is the closest thing to what they actually said:
A: yes we are definitely still planning to do that
B: that is something we would like to do one day but no ETA
I'll translate the meaning of those 2 things for you: "A" means pretty much what it says. "B" is basically a nice way of saying 'probably not'. Note I said "probably", not definitely. But when they say 'one day but no ETA" it's definitely not being worked on and not any kind of priority.
So, which of those options was closest to what they actually said?

Pretty sure they said that they'd work on them after the Year of Klingon. So there is something resembling an ETA. I wouldn't be surprised if they plan to use some assets from the upcoming Klingon side revamps and new missions to help with the Fed ones. We also have a few plot threads left hanging like B'Vat. We do know that some members of House B'vat sided with J'Ula, but that's about it.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I'm all for them coming back. That said, they clearly realize that faction exclusive content isn't the best use of their time and resources anymore. So if they do actually come back they will probably figure out a way to change the story to be playable by all factions (even KDF, meaning you would be fighting against a rival house rather than the Empire itself).
But honestly, my guess is that after the YOK is done they are not going to want to do more Klingon story stuff for a while. They are likely going to want to tell some new kind of story, which is one of the reasons I have my doubts about ever seeing these missions again. I don't mind being proven 'wrong' though, because this isn't me saying I don't want them to come back. If they do, great.

That's why I asked what they actually said in the recent stream. Did they say they were working on them? Waiting to hear back from somtaawkhar on that.

They said they'd work on them when AoD was finished, then after the Anniversary. So, if they're now saying it's not gonna happen until post-AoK, it definitely has me thinking we're not gonna get them back.
Which sucks, 'cause I always liked the Kuvah'Magh story, and it sucks that interactive Spock is no longer with us.
They keep saying this and that But until i see that they are serious about either bringing the missions back in their original from or the revamped from. I have little hope that they will ever listen to the player base and understand that not all players play this game for one reason. I play this game for the story. I hope the new story line is good and not a worthless.
My expectations for positive improvements and the return of content both missions and other things is sooooo low you need a drilling rig to reach how far down its gone in the last 2 yrs.

Doomsaying. this is against forum rules.
Otherwise, we'll see what happens, like everything else.
