Full screen blacks out intermittently

New pc and things have basically been fine, since last time I logged on I got a UPS and am using it now. Also I bought 2 sticks of ram to replace the 1 that came in the machine, although my installation of them was unsuccessful and I haven't revisited that yet and am back to using the original stick. The new ram is compatible, I'm triply sure of that. Anyways, I login today and in fullscreen my display goes out and intermittently comes back. Any ideas?
Also, running in a smaller window works fine

did system restore and force verify, problem seems to be solved. sorry to clutter up the board, until next time
