Getting a new pc and I didn't buy an optical drive, just wondering if there's anything extra that comes along with a download since I won't be able to use my original physical cd for installing. I mean like steam or arc or anything else besides the game itself.

    You can download Steam or Arc, install them, and then install STO. Then if you do not want those, you can uninstall them and say that you want to keep Star Trek Online only. You can create a desktop or toolbar shortcut for STO using the Cryptic Game Launcher icon from where Star Trek Online is installed.
