I appear to be unable to add patters to my Caitian characters despite having the Ferasan species,

I am unable to add or remove fur patters to my caitian Charaters but I can edit them if they are already applied, in game and in new character creator, I do own the Ferasan species and can use there hair style, but as I said, I do not get a drop down for over all pattern that would allow me to apply the fur patters, I'm also having issues with log in screen, as it dose not mimic my away team and has clones of 2 of my officers,
