Which Star Trek series could you live in?

Out of all the Star Trek series which would you fit in the best? The basic premise is mostly the same with no hunger, disease, war between humans etc.

If I had to choose which series I would fit best in, its Star Trek Enterprise. Everything then was brand new, nobody has explored a thing at least in the tradition sense, sure they may run freight but its very local space. You have the entirety of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants untouched by human eyes, even in Kirk's time, space was kind of crowded. It got even worse in the 24th century, starships like the Enterprise D were basically making starbase runs. No Prime Directive or Admiralty Red Tape. Admiral Forrest I would have to say is the best even keeled Admiral I have seen, he gave Archer the benefit of the doubt and never pushed Archer into a corner unlike Admirals Nacheyev and Jellico who did do that with Picard on numerous occasions, Ross wasn't too bad with Sisko but still, if Sisko was given more latitude sooner the Dominion War would not have dragged on like it did. I would also be apprehensive about using the transporter, I wouldn't be scared like Barclay but wary and its nice to know in the 22nd Century I wouldn't be alone. Granted you may not get the toys from the 24th Century and the Vulcans are not really cool but I can live with that. Spock and Tuvok were the Vulcans to proceed after the Surak Artifact was found in the Forge. Soval was angry, moody and very un-Vulcan compared to someone like Tuvok on Voyager. Shran is an annoying psychopath with anger issues but more often then not helpful, the "pink skin" would get very old but livable. Starfleet in the 22nd Century may not be the biggest kid on the block but they did beat the Romulans, handily I might add and kept the Klingons on their toes. Its really no fun in TNG when you simply overpower most adversaries, no challenge in it, the Defiant would be fun but again even that gets old, Voyager for the better part of the journey enjoyed tactical superiority with a few notable exceptions. The Enterprise of Kirk's era was the same way unless it ran into a space god. The Enterprise NX-01 was the true underdog and it earned its stripes, and its oddly satisfying to see the NX fight and win compared to the other vessels in ST. The Uniforms also don't look like pajamas or awkwardly uncomfortable. The NX-Class and the 22nd Century may not be as grand as the 23rd Century or 24th Century but it is very endearing compared to most.

Let me know what you think down below.

Probably TOS for me, it is the best balance. The humans have come into their own by that time instead of being just the sidekicks of the Vulcans, the tech is a lot better than ENT too. At the same time TOS does not have the oppressive conformity peer pressure that made the humans so dull in comparison to the aliens, and the holier than thou attitude of TNG yet.

Either Enterprise or Post-Dominion War (that's probably cheating since it's a time period rather than a series, but oh well 😎)

Not really cheating, it would include the movie Nemesis and the Picard series.

The Picard series is later than I was suggesting.

Well, given my love of all things mid century retro, I have to say TOS. It's what I grew up with, and what I'll always come back to. It's the Trek that occupied my childhood daydreams. ^^
Resident TOS, G.I. Joe, Transformers and hair metal fangirl.

While TNG was my childhood trek, I'd prefer the TOS era to be honest. An age of exploration and adventure where eveything is still new, still there to be found and experienced.

If I'm in Starfleet, TOS - more actual exploration, less helping the captain with his latest psychodrama or being tossed around at the whim of a perverse god-child.

As a civilian, however, I'll take TNG - replicators everywhere, post-scarcity, and the whole Dominion thing hasn't happened yet so Adm. Leyton is just sitting there stewing about Starfleet not being military enough rather than trying to take over the Federations government.

TOS movies era - better uniforms
    Your pain runs deep.
Let us explore it... together. Each man hides a secret pain. It must be exposed and reckoned with. It must be dragged from the darkness and forced into the light. Share your pain. Share your pain with me... and gain strength from the sharing.

Right after First Contact. Earth hasn't made any enemies that want to destroy our planet if I want to be a civilian and there is an entire galaxy to explore that hasn't been touched by humans.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

First choice is Enterprise. Not sure what my second choice would be... probably TOS.

Mainly because in my head TNG, DS9 and Voyager are basically all happening roughly at the same time, just in different bits of the Universe...

I like the uniforms and I like Data and Picard. That is why I would like to live in TNG. You are free to disagree with me though. Also, I disagree it was too touchy feely.

proably TNG, everyone here seems to be talking about what era they prefered etc. but IMHO the TNG era of the federation seems the best time period to LIVE IN

    Stargate
Until Cryptic fixes the bugs and the huge lag problem, i refuse to give them a single cent. A company that charges hundreds of dollars but can't even give a stable bugfree game (or at least doesn't have bugs that are years and years old), doesn't deserve my money.
Also when coming back after 2 years not playing STO, spending $30 and getting hit immediately with a 7 day account probation.
This shows very little respect from cryptic towards their playerbase and, this is another reason to not spend any single cent on this game.

Same here, but I truly would not mind being nearly any officer on a Galaxy Class. I would not need to be the CO or the XO. I'd be fine working for Geordi La Forge or one of the research departments.

In fact, many years ago, when STNG was still in it's first broadcast run, I had a dream, one night, where I worked in one of the departments on the lower decks and had to go to the bridge to hand deliver a report on a PADD to one of the officers at a SCI station and it turned out to be my wife at the station.
