New ship models, lightning/reflection issue?

Hi!

The new ship models and textures for the Galaxy, Defiant, Intrepid, Sovereign etc are all awesome.

However the lightning model for the ships are bugged on certain maps, some of the maps from the top of my head would be the Vulcan and Risa systems. On these maps, the models are washed out. Things like phaser strips blend in with the hull, markings and decals become pitch black etc.

I only attached screenshots of the Galaxy Class since I had those on hand, but the bug is similar with the other ships in the lineup mentioned. I have not tested the Constution or NX though.

Also the Galaxy Class has bugged navigation lights, they are suppose to be red for port and green for starboard. However the saucer section on the Galaxy has red on both sides. It is correct on the stardrive section and other models however. (Fixed in patch 2/13/20)

Yeah, it's been an issue for years now. Some places didn't digest lighting 2.0 particulary well and now certain hull types & vanity shields look craptastic in them. Risa being a constant reminder thanks to the annual summer event.

For me not only is the Reman shield affected by the lighting, I also had to un-equip it as a visual or shield because it would crash my computer. Yikes!

I forgot to mention that my ship in the pictures has nothing equipped that makes special effects, it's just the hull of the ship reacting to the lightning on certain maps.

Sadly its the same way with the ground phaser rifles, ever since Lighting 2.0 they are just Chrome Rod Rifles,

Bacano57, please post in a new thread that has do with your question instead of hijacking a thread that has to do with new ship models, lighting/reflection issues. Thanks. As for your question, the new free ship might be in your inventory or overflow bag.
