I have no illusions about these three new TFO. They are going to stink compared to the old.
I see it the exact opposite way. The Borg TFOs are, bar none, the worst TFOs in the game,m since they lack in any sort of real mechanics, or the need for systemic teamwork.
Anything would be better then what we have now. A reskined Swarm would be better then what we have now.
Here's another way to frame things... isn't it great how a game can provide something for a variety of players with different tastes? Hopefully it'll continue to do so.
Hopefully with all of that previous Cryptic chit-chat about taking-out components of STO for the betterment & health of the game leaving resources to improve other things Cryptic won't just remove without replacing with something better or just improve the current template.
Out of all the things Cryptic has removed, the only things they haven't really replaced are the Foundry, and the exploration clusters, and they have given reason for both of those. Besides that
-The removed crafting components/system got replaced
-The removed story arcs got replaced
-The removed kits got replaced
-The removed MU ships got replaced
-Many of the removed TFOs have been replaced
Its pretty uncommon for them to remove something without replacing it.

Mine Trap.
Still hoping it returns somehow.
Problem was that there were never really enough people who queued for it and people strolled from their designated areas .
What was that map with the mining equipment and renegade klingons? Revamp with disco Klingons or Terrans?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

To bring that into context, the revised TFOs are not available on Tribble. There will be no community testing of them until it they go live on the 7th.

Not even close to the same thing. In Mine Trap you're protecting Romulans from Salt Vampires. In Miner Instabilities you're protecting Gorn from a combination of Romulans and Na'kuhl... They're both giant escort missions, but that's where the similarities end. They don't even have the same aesthetics.
It looks like it can take three new releases to get something older out of the 'New' Tab.

As for revamps of TFOs
-DS9 under Siege! -> Assault on Terok Not
-Foxes and Hounds -> Counterpoint
-Starbase 24 -> Defense of Starbase One
-Breaking the Planet -> Pahvo Dissension
-Slowing the Expeditionary Force -> Battle at the Binary Stars
-Halting the Gorn Advance/Punch Through the Federation Blockade -> Romulan Imperial Minefield
Deleting the old content and putting up something entirely different is not a revamp.
I saw in a tchat channel, comments about the removal of ISA, and most of them expected the end of the dps community and even the end of the game. In my opinion, this is just ridiculous, Dpsers don't spend their time in ISA (well, I hope), and if the new borg tfos are really interesting, everyone will be satisfied.
currently, the borg tfos are just a pain in the a.. , they are not interesting, boring and are done in few seconds.
Things must evolve, I just hope that the path taken will be the good one.
ISA is still used as one of the main STO DPS measuring sticks.

Yes, it is. Too bad STO won't actuall do that. Everything must be all Easy Mode all the time. Preferably with a timed auto-win for those who can't beat even Easy Mode on their own.
Maybe the next big feature will be to copy the "auto-farming" that a lot of mobile RPGs seem to have these days, where all you have to do is log in once a day to spend resources (and money) and otherwise the game just plays itself.
Even if the Borg STFs were in need of revamping (which they weren't if you ask me, because you don't have to play them if you don't like them) then it would still be best if the missions were retained somehow.
These missions have been the face of STO and as undoubtely one of the most played pieces of content, they're one of the few things that tie together the different sub-communities in the game.
I use the TR-116B mostly with a Cryo Grenade to lead off. I don't use the Remodulator, though it doesn't help that I haven't been able to craft the Fractal Remodulator because of the bug.
What bug? I crafted one two days ago for my Temporal recruit.
Deleting the old content and putting up something entirely different is not a revamp.
A. By this logic the mission arc revamps weren't revamps, when they were.
B. Most of those aren't entirely different to begin with
There have been actual mission revamps and there has been totally deleted then replaced content. They are two different things.
What happened to the Cardassian arcs is definitely the latter as they are not even recognizable to those who played the older missions they replaced. They are totally different missions with a different plot. The only one that could be considered a revamp is The New Link.
What happened to the original borg STFs was a revamp that put them into their current form. Anyone who played the original STFs can easily recognize them as the same missions, but obviously cut up and reorganized to make them more bite sized.

There was a bug in the Defera crafting station. It wasn't working for anyone. If that has changed a bunch of my characters need to go to Defera. Can anyone confirm?
Interesting that this thread has been almost predominantly focused on Borg ground content, considering how popular the (Borg) space TFOs are.
I mean, seems like ISA is going to get the revamp treatment too, and am surprised at how little has been said in regard to this.
I think they're going to add more Borg ground content (between Star Trek: Picard and the Borg Cooperative faction, plus updating/replacing what we already have) to make it worth it. *fingers crossed for luck*

Adding more content is unlikely. This update seems to be purely based on revamps on Infected Space, Khitomer space, and Into the Hive, with Andre Emmerson suggesting there would be some revamped patrols as well.
Given that Defera is offline, we might see an updated version of that at some point.
They added content for Star Trek: Discovery. I can't see them not adding content for Star Trek: Picard at some point.
If ST: Picard results in more Borg content, I don't see any reason that there shouldn't be enough different types of maps to please a wide variety of players.
Everything from the original borg STF's with revamped visuals (and maybe elite versions) to newer borg content to satisfy a wide variety of players would be just great.
I really think it's important that there be something for each of us to like when we log on... things that provides a wide variety of different challenges for different tastes.
After not being able to craft Fractal Remodulators on Defera for many months, the other night when I went there for an Endeavor, I thought I'd give it a try. It worked on the first attempt. I was going to try to craft a second but I didn't have enough of that middle component (the one that stingely drops) so I couldn't.

Edit, Arrived on Defera with no incident, however Borg Salvage Crafting remains fubar making Fractal Remodulators unavailable. So I'm going to assume Swamarian is confused and thinking of standard remodulators from the replicator.
No, I was able to craft a fractal remodulator on my temporal toon. I finished grinding out the components, and built it at the crafting station. I wanted to make sure that I did it before whatever's happening to Defara.
