Lets face it, Mudds Market can only be purchased when there is an 80%off SALE. Otherwise its not worth the price its listed for.
For some of that stuff even 80% off is still too expensive.
The Phoenix Epic Token is only the 1 & for only 1 character correct?
The 3 "special" ships: Amarie, Temporal Destroyer(s), & Temporal Science Vessel(s) are account-wide unlocks correct? I'd personally choose this option since I don't own any of those ships but even at the introductory price it seems a bit high, but that is subjective.
The 2 free T6 C-Store ship coupons don't seem like a good value option in this bundle to me.
The 10x Ultimate Tech Upgrades I just have no idea how to weigh their value within this bundle, but I like the idea of being able to get them without buying gamble keys.
The -50% accuracy on that Amarie's Slamshot experimental weapon is not appealing at all.
Also, not a fan of the 2 included Temporal ships, Destroyer & Science Vessel, sharing their console set perks with that other Temporal Paradox ship which isn't include in this bundle.
I think the Temporal Science Vessel's starship trait & console seems more useful than the Destroyer's.
It's pick three. If you want you can choose the Amarie, the Temporal Science, and the Temporal Destroyer.

Normally I don't say much in the forums and just like to play the game. But now I have had enough. STOP With the over priced items in Mudd's Market, its for whales only, were not all whales, we all cant afford it.

I don't know why I am even commenting to be honest most the time its only other players that read the comments.
This sounds like a bad idea out of the gate. However, I'm reminded of the Secret World and something they sold.
They had their own store currency which has an equivalent real world value to zen, 100 = $1. In their store there was one outfit set that was a shiny gold suit for over 10000 points normally. Yes, over $100 for an outfit as the normal price.
However now and then they had "golden weekends" where that outfit was 90% discounted which, coincidentally, put it at the price of a normal outfit. The idea, of course, is that you can get it any time you want if you want to spend a lot of money on the game or you can wait until one of those weekends where it is discounted and get it at a normal price.
It seems they may be trying something similar with Mudd. If you want it now, you pay out the nose, but wait for a sale and it will probably be a decent deal.

darn, my post crashed.
ok trying again.
2 questions.
Are the current sale items worth it, seeing that many were free in past? btw, why is Vulcan ship for sale if I already unlocked it from past event. I stupidly bought the cane and other items thinking thet were different. So pissed off about that.
Being that I am a whale player, I am looking to possibly spend over $500 on these 6 items, but are they worth that value to anyone that bought the current Mudd market items, including Geordi, Picard and other items beyond the choice of 6?
Lets face it, Mudds Market can only be purchased when there is an 80%off SALE. Otherwise its not worth the price its listed for.
For some of that stuff even 80% off is still too expensive.
How often do 80% off happen? I really want some of those items due to extreme FOMO, but 50% still makes me fear potential buyer's remorse.
I would feel ashamed as a seller to sell something for a crazy price and put it in sale the next day for 90% less, you knew it would go on sale the next day as a seller so its just a rip-off, and the the line only a sucker would buy this at the full price....
There should be laws against this!
Things like integrity & having ethics can only get in the way of capitalism.
Because socialism is full of ethics and integrity, right?
Really, though, you ignore capitalism has an integrated ethics system. If people don't like what you're doing, they can vote with their wallets and NOT BUY.
yeah after reading a few pages. I think I am gonna save my 500 dollars. Especially since the picard bundle and many other items was 80% off at the start.
I don't think we will ever see another 80% off sale. Even the initial sales when new items are added have been getting worse. First was 80%, next was 60%, now its 50%...

I was intrigued by the idea of Mudd's Market when it first arrived. Then, I looked at the merchandise for sale there and realized a few things:
- Harcourt Fenton Mudd is a lying cheat who would sell his own children into slavery if the price was right.
- He has never been portrayed in Star Trek as anything other than a scheming con artist.
Who assumes, wrongly, he is the cleverest fellow in the game.
- None of the stuff for sale in Mudd's Market is worth the pixels used to make it.
Let alone the ree-dink-ku-less prices being asked for it.
- "Discount"? What Discount? Some of those ships perform poorly enough Cryptic should be paying players to use them.
- Mudd's Market was created by some overly educated, underly intelligent sales "guru" who only heard "immersion" used as a game term last month and has never been within a thousand light years of any Star Trek episode or film.
- P.T. Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every minute".
Stuff like Mudd's Market lasting longer than five seconds proves once again he was correct.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.

The "ridiculously overpriced" from the OP is what I would use for the discounted prices. I don't know a proper term for the non-discounted prices. Even with the use of explicit language; no idea. It probably makes it a negative form of mind-blowing I guess.
I tend to agree to thunderfoot; the general idea of Mudd jr. doing something more meaty in game than being a name drop is intriguing. Him being some kind of shady "used ship" salesmen is basically a good idea. Its the greedy whomever made the pricetags and added it to the zen store instead of something more ingame connected execution that ruins it.
edit:
Also its not classic Mudd (... to my knowledge); that was his ancestor. No reason for him being an actual legitimate business man trying to clean his name from the shady past of his ancestors. Not that he is doing a good impression regarding that how the shop is set up; but maybe in a future overhaul...
When I first saw this bundle advertised, I "thought" (mistakenly) that it said choose 6 from the list, I was umming and arrring over whether it was worth it for six items, then when I realized it was 3, I was like not a chance in hell is it worth it. Blatantely overpriced.
You never buy anything from Mudd's Market unless it is on sale!!!

Anyway, T6 Risian Corvette and Black Ops Mine Launcher being added and everything 60% off in that Market for this Weekend.
Speculation on List Price: Corvette - 17,000 Zen Mine Launcher - 8,000 Zen w/Ultimate Tech
Hope nobody was foolish enough to buy here last Weekend with the trollish 20% off. Even 60% is miserly.

The mines are cool but never seemed to do enough damage in my experience. The ship is nice, I remember this is the one Cryptic made it where if you wanted you could upgrade it to Pilot.

Damn! They got me for $500 on the 20% sale. This just sucks... It is good for other players but it is a bitter pill to swallow especially when I'm getting stuff mainly to support the game.

I will avoid most stuff in Mudds Market as overpriced junk. Even if it was 80 % off most of it isnt worth getting cause most of it was part of an event to get for FREE!. Once free should stay free!

only the very 1st time it was open...
If true that would make sense as sort of an introductory sale, but looking at https://sto.gamepedia.com/Zen_Store it displays there's many sales at beyond -60% besides the "very 1st time it was open" if I'm reading those charts correctly.

Well you're just helping out Cryptic that much more then, intended or not. I'm sure that sentiment rings hollow compared to the amount of money you could've saved for something else though which is similar to the last zen bonus that was 1k zen less at the $200 price point.
The Stealing Time Bundle is cheaper by almost 3,000 Zen than it was when first introduced.
There have been numerous 80% Sales of the Market and individual Items in the past. There was an 85% Sale as well. It seems that 60% has been the top recently.

No doubt... I was just going to send them $200 more and they stopped the charge bonus. Now I'm beginning to feel like a fool.

I felt $118 was a decent enough deal to buy the Time bundle from the Mudd Store. They might offer an 80% sale again, but the last couple of times they did, there wasn't a ship bundle in it. Ship bundles don't usually get included in the best sales.
are the mines or prios (spelling) sat any good from the market?
I got them from the event long ago, I didn't create any uber mine build but used them on a ship & wasn't impressed with the damage, but they do look cool. I'm sure a good player focusing on mines can make them lethal.
