So they just never accounted for the kind of player who finishes every Final Fantasy with fifty Eyedrops hanging around because they don't like using consumables and status effect curing spells are cheap? At least extra regenerators can be sold in bulk at any vendor.
During "cinematics" like when your ship enters and leaves a system your interface is gone to make it more dramatic like a movie scene. Im ok with that. Also your cursor isnt usable. Im playing with to screens and windowed fullscreen mode. In ANY other game I can move the mouse to the other screen and do something while the game is loading. But not in STO. You have to either alt-tab to have your mouse or wait. Even when the cursor is not on the gaming screen but the game is in focus the cursor can occasionally disappear!
Make the cursor always visible.
When a loading screen is done loading you have to have your game in focus. If not, the loading screen doesnt go away. It stops with "please press a key" to get past it. Its completely unnecessary and annoying. After some days of STO I played another game and I caught myself doing something on the other screen while the game was loading and quickly clicked on the loading screen before it was done so it continues once the bar was full. Like I need to do it in STO...
A universal bridge officer. One officer per ship who could sit in any seat. Someone like Lt. Jae from STTNG who was seen working for all three departments over the course of the show and movies.
- make energy credits accountwide like zen. Why limit it to one char? No more logging around for it
- higher daily dilithium refine cap. I have 848.000 dilithium to refine which takes 106 and Im still gaining each day. I already grinded for it. Now I have to grind daily to use it. Or at least make the dilithium from duty officer and admiralty missions including reaching admiralty level 5 and 10 and from reaching reputation tier 5 already refined.
The "P" key menu on PC for filling the ability slots is a jumbled mess for instance, and seriously needs a way to filter out or separate captain, boff, and ship/device abilities.
Likewise, there should be a filter that picks out R&D doffs from the rest (even better if it includes a "protect" mode checkmark like weapons and devices do that would keep them out of non-crafting doff missions and off of fleet contribution lists).
The ability to break up and/or change the shape of ability bars and doff bar, I get tired of not being able to see my ship in combat if I have to have a lot of abilities available and the current fixed sizes/shapes limit viable screen arrangements. Adding a small monitor bar that can be attached to the side of the screen or whatever and used to keep tabs on cooldowns for abilities tied to key/mouse binds that do not need to take up a clickable slot would be nice too.
Z-store filters for ships by faction, size class (escort, destroyer, cruiser), and function (eng, tac, sci (and sci with secondary deflector)) would also be nice.
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

Duty officer grind down - put a mail console next to them so we can shift them around more easily. Even the KDF one requires you to run back and forth.
Klingon Fleet Starbase.... Stand next to the railing between Mail Console and Personnel officer, you get buttons for both.

Finding ground or space gear that belongs to a set is a nightmare .. often the gear list is full of low level gear that I never use,.. that is on some decommissioned ship., also I don’t want that TRIBBLE in my inventory when I dock ship., waist of space.
1. Add a way to transfer unrefined dilithium (Some of my characters have over 1 million unrefined dilithium and I'd like to move some of that to other characters).

... leave the dilithium as is. Any change to that, however minor, however only seeming a QoL issue, will affect the whole economy with possibly major unforeseen consequences.

1. I'd like a "find on exchange" option for items in my inventory. One that would autopopulate the search fields with the item name, rarity, type, etc. Anything that means less typing is good in my eyes
2. (on console) using a slider to transfer EC into and out of my account bank is a huge pain. Let us just type the amount we want to add/withdraw. Or maybe let us use the LT/RT/LB/RB buttons to increase/decrease the amount incrementally.
3. Reduce the level of the "wind" noise when you're outside on the Klingon Academy map. Its too loud.

you can drag items to the box where you type text and it'll fill the item name
Cache the character data on the character selection screen. It is annoying that we have to wait for the character images to load every time we click on a character.
Your Plasma Torpedo - Heavy III deals 174321 (66343) Kinetic Damage(Critical) to I.R.W. Valdore.

If they load at all... I have at least one captain who always appears alone no matter how long I leave it for the boffs to load (out of curiosity I left her hanging on the selection screen for five or ten minutes while I was working on something else at my desk and they never did load).
One thing that would be nice would be a way to download character data, a sort of dossier for roleplaying information (I know, it is probably just a paper-and-dice habit to keep such things). Or on a more practical note, a way to download doff lists and inventory/bank lists to make coordinating things between characters easier (sort of like how you can download fleet member lists).
The fleet thing reminds me, it would be very handy if there was a way to identify people who send mail better in order to find out what fleet various newsletters and announcements are for (since so many do not bother to mention the fleet name in the message itself). It is obviously not a problem for the people who have a single active main and a bunch of not really played support mules and only join one fleet for the main (or the same fleet for the main and alts), but for those who use a less focused and more varied approach, sorting out who on the account each message like that is for is a bit of a hassle.
I have a few ideas as well, although this will just be seconding some other voices in the discussion I am sure.
More Inventory Slots: I have tons I have had to make JUST to hold onto cool stuff I don't want to delete and might use later. Break up inventory into tabs, Space / Ground / R&D / Currencies (and include the Reputation currency tokens here)
A Target Satellite either in orbit over major Social Zones, or in a separate instance. You could even use systems not currently in use as "training zones" and give us a way to staticly check our DPS as other MMOs have. For Ground you could implement this in any holodeck with a training sim infinite health training dummy.
Search function by name for items. Some of the universal consoles look alike at a glance and frankly it can be a pain to try and find the one I am looking for in a full inventory. Adding a Word Filter search by name would be basic functionality, but also adding a by bonus filter would be AMAZING for functionality.
the possibility to transfer a lobi/box ship from a character to an other.
This more than anything, a repackage ship token would be the best way forward, I have lockbox ships that I would very much like to transfer between characters. I would happily spend 2k zen to do so.
The Token probably would delete the Ship Mastery and any special Consoles or items that came with the Ship.
