On January 23rd, Captain Killy, played by Mary Wiseman, comes to Star Trek Online. Face off against the infamous Mirror Universe Captain, complete Personal Endeavors to advance, gain Mirror Universe gear and celebrate our anniversary to unlock a T6 Vulcan Scout Ship!
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I believe a Scout Ship is like the Lukari one we get from the colony. Hybrid Science Raider.
Yes, it's basically a small science ship with raider flanking built in. I've been hoping they'll add more. Also, this suggests to me that this year's anniversary mega bundle will be science focused. So possibly T6 Dyson destroyers?
But, on another note, the only Vulcan ship I recall seeing in Discovery was this:
And I'm not a fan of that particular ship. Aside from not looking particularly Vulcan, it looks like they took a Cylon robot head and stuck a big, dumb nose on it. I guess they were trying to show Vulcan ship design transitioning from the elegant aesthetics of Enterprise to the more utilitarian look of the TNG era, but they didn't do a very good job. IMO it's far too angular and aggressive looking for a Vulcan design.

Yea... most likely science focused. But I don't see Dyson Destroyers. Don't know if they fixed the bugs that existed when they tried the T5s, and I think most people called them terrible ships. Hardly see any flying around anymore either. At least the Romulan and Klingon ones look decent. The Fed one just looks like a recreation of an Intrepid using alien tech, and it just doesn't look right honestly.

The D'Kyr was a cruiser in Enterprise too. But in STO its classified as a Science Ship. Hell... the Akira is supposed to be a cruiser, yet she's an Escort in STO.

This might add hope to those wanting T6 Oberth or Nova, which would now probably be brought in as a Sci 'Raider' vessel.
The Oberth was technically a 'Scout' class Science Vessel, and given the Nova's original specs, puts it in the same category.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Good point you make there, we can only hope that this is the case. Even if not part of a 3-pack they might drop more scout ships if this one leads to and opening of the floodgates on them so to speak.
True, EagleMoss has it classified as a cruiser. However, today's announcement specifies that the anniversary ship will be a Vulcan ship that was seen in Discovery. And as far as I know, that cruiser is the only Vulcan ship that made an appearance.
I was expecting something more faction neutral. This isn't unprecedented, with the Bajorean thing last year, but Vulcans are more associated with the Federation than Bajorans.
"celebrate our anniversary to unlock a T6 Vulcan Scout Ship!"
I'm more interested in finding out HOW we unlock it, rather than what ship.
Just like it has been the last few years, collect the Omega Molecules, turn in, get vouchers. At least we'll get (hopefully) the 400 vouchers for running the mission the first time to cut down on the amount of molecule runs we'll need.

I used to run mine all the time back when it came out. Well, on my Feds. My KDF and Roms, I had better ships. I didn't get the T5 Kumari ships till about the time I left for a few years. I liked the Dyson hybrid ships. I named mine the Lobster Claw.
I just liked being able to pop a GW3 on groups, then swap to tactical, and blow them away.
The only reason I stopped using it when I came back was because none of my T5 ships can do anything against NPCs in TFOs or episodes, because my character got above level 61. Once that happened, my T5 ships with UR MK12 gear was useless. Got popped too soon. Now that I have the S'Torr, I am able to do episodes now. More hp for shields and hull.
But I do miss the Lobster Claw.
Razar.
Leader of Elite Guardian Academy.Would you like to learn how to run a fleet? Would you like to know how to do ship builds (true budget as well as high end)? The join the Academy today!
I do think it will have the look of the Discovery One. It does not look that bad to me. It still has a vulcan like design to it.
One ship I would really love to see is this right here. Ever since I've seen this Vessel in Star Trek Legacy its something I wanted to see added into the game now that I looked it up and its an official canon ship I am hoping one day they will be able to add this ship into the game I would totally buy this.

Scout ship is a new class they introduced a while back. It's basically a science-focused raider.

It might be this ship that Sarek used in Discovery.

That's a cruiser but I guess they might improvised? Might be a D'Kyr type like.

Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.
Don't forget about the Kumari as well.
So it starts January 23rd then huh. Looking forward to it.

The Vulcan ship is made into a Scout ship to meet the discovery content imagery along with the modern/usable types of ships.

> Scout ship is like the Lukari Fleet Colony T5 Unlock, sorta Raider, Sci-heavy.
Boomerang is a decent ship, my temporal toon has one.
