Question for the Devs: Is there a plan to, at some point, raise the dilithium refinement cap to, say, 10,000 or so? I ask because if I stopped accumulating unrefined dilithium today it would still take me 240 days to refine what I have accumulated thus far. Raising the cap from 8,000 to 10,000 would be really helpful to, and appreciated by, many regular players I'm sure.

Also, the answer is "no", as always.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
It's just that this is asked a lot and it's honestly a very bad idea. Increasing the Cap increases the amount of available dilithium which devalues it even more. While this change may seem like a good idea, it would actually be really bad for the games economy and push Free to Play players further and further back.
The 8k Dilithium Cap needs to remain in place, it's honestly best for everyone.
If you want dil to turn into Zimbabwe dollars then this is a good idea.
If the dil supply increases 20%, the value will drop 20%, so if you're trading dil for zen you gain nothing.
Echoing the rest. It's bad for the economy. The Dil market is equivalent of the Oil market and influcenced heavily on the availability.
However, you can refine 500 extra Dil at the Fleet Dil Mine a day AND 1000 at the Refining Officer at your local Academy already.
Isn't that extra 1k only available to Lifers though?
I second the motion.
I third it!

Most people just make several characters so that they can refine more per day. It's kinda tough if you just want to play one character though because you'll have the exact problem you described. You'll end up with a year or more of Unrefined Dilithium stacked up on that one character. At least with multiples you can do stuff on different alts and try to spread the gains a bit.
