We have the Picard Maneuver as a console, but it should really be a captain skill. I would like the Kirk Maneuver in the same way - so that we can do a fast 180 degree pivot at Warp 2... The Hurq swarmers following me around beating my aft shield and somehow surviving all my attacks upon them is just tedious and boring. It would help if I could have a fast way to get my nose around to attack the enemy.
I thought the OP meant hooking up with an Orion and getting one as a BoFF ...
But seriously, the swarmers are a pain, but then, they are "supposed" to be!
If you are running a Rom ship, the plasma shock wave really upsets them, And the "Singularity Manipulation" clicky confuses the hell out of them when you cloak for 5 secs.
Any AoE/Chaining 'clicky' like the Teryon Blast thingy is also handy for clearing them. I also run the Kentari Massed Produced Missile Launcher in a rear slot whenever I'm fighting Hur'q, as that thing shoots ridiculously fast, and the Dmg + Radiation burn is usually enough to clear them.
The Kirk maneuver is a running jump kick, as executed on several episodes (my favorite being in "Journey To Babel", in which I'm not entirely certain his kick actually connected with anything - Bill Shatner is not a trained stuntman, after all).
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Ah, the good old lunge for tac captains and boffs.

No... Feedpack Pulse is not the same as the Corbomite Reflector. You still take damage with Feedback Pulse, and it doesn't reflect torpedo damage. Corbomite Reflector is essentially an "I am INVINCIBLE" button. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b18DjXWyWuc

'But to be logical is not to be right', and 'nothing' on God's earth could ever 'make it' right!'

Hive Defense also works well as you just keep spawning in hordes of their buddies and they just chase each other around blowing up.

Warp Plasma is pretty good at slowing them down enough for a full broadside.
But Hur'q are evil for cannon builds... unless its a pilot escort using Lock Trajectory.

So is STO...
In fairness, we kinda do have it... Feedback pulse.

The larger ships wouldn't be a problem. Its the Swarmers and their love of hugging your 6 that are the problem for a lot of people.

Other players actually struggle with them in Cannon builds.

It can only be used on escorts/raiders/pilot/Hirogen ships, but it sounds exactly like what you want.
