With the release of the Europa/Nimitz-Class and since the USS Sebrova was a Shepard-Class, I wanted to ask folks what playable ship they'd like to see next from Discovery.
The Shepard is to my liking too, but the Disco aesthetics and texture styles seem to better suit the Cardenas, maybe because it has more aggressive angles without being over the top.

I'd like some KDF ships. SOME of the designs, like the bird of prey and the Qugh have grown on me.
I have one KDF toon, that I'd like to collect the various timeline, or whatever's - birds of prey.
I voted Cardenas cause I love the look of that ship, but the connie is my runner up, I love the way it looks. I just know that if the connie does come out, there's not a chance in hell I can ever afford it.

I'm hoping the Discovery Connie is a T5 release to make it accessible to all, but doesn't step on the toes of those that shelled out for the T6 Temporal.
I voted Cardenas Class, looks like a sleeker Cheyenne

Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
All of them but I’d give my first born for a Discovery Enterprise

I like both the shepard and engle classes. However, after seeing it in-game, I dropped all consideration for buying the europa and decided to hold out for the shepard. It's definitely more of a "hero" ship.
1: Hideki
2: Promo/lock box version of an Excelsior that doesn't suck. Similar layout to the Constitution but with miracle worker spec.
3: K'Vort with a nearly cloned setup from the Morrigu and with command or some other spec to differentiate it.

That's not how it worked on the shows though. Mirandas and Excelsiors on DS9 used the TNG era warp effects.
On Disco however, all the ships so far have used the same warp animations so the ships in the game should use the same. Its just lazy for Cryptic not to.
I'd vote for a DSC skin for the Connie, because it is the only ship class not entirely anachronistic to established eras (none of the ships look remotely like the Kelvin or TOS design lineages). You can, by the way, call it "Wartime refit" because you can do whatever you like, but it doesn't make sense. The DSC Connie is not a refit of the TOS connie, the shows are, visually, incompatible (and out-of-universe acknowledged to intentionally be this way).

Astris Scientia is a non canon source so i can't use that. Apart from that, i will vote for the Shepard Class as well. it has that typical federation style to it, flowing curves, no sharp bits anywhere with a large saucer shape.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

With the exception of the Walker all of the other ships (or at least the Crossfield, Shepard, Nimitz, and Cardenas who all share nacelle designs) are newer than the Conni and are succeeded by the TMP era ships.

The Crossfield is newer, the other ships sharing it's nacelle design though we have no idea. If (big if) registries are to go by, no they aren't. Then we have no way of telling. The reason we have those nacelles is, of course, out-of-universe - the design was supposed to be radically different to not look like anything that came before. However, the Connie did not get rectangular nacelles, it kept the "NX-esque" form but the ship doesn't make a dated impression. On the contrary, with the spiffy uniforms and all it seems like it's supposed to be state-of-the-art and the other ships are current ships of the line or at least build after a dated design (but might be new vessels). I think Season 2 will give us a glimpse at this and see whether round nacelles in the TOS era is something that even DSC uses, but even if they don't being a acknowledged visually incompatible installation of Trek there shouldn't be too much thought put into it. It's just a skin put on, not any indication of logical progression.
Which I think is a shame, because those ships break the lineage of the established aesthetics. The NX refit was suppposed to have TOS-ified parts in it, leading to the Daedalus and so on. I would have liked that (in general, it's hard to believe that I now wish for ENT to be back we got DSC ). These ships neither look like the Kelvin nor like TOS. Regardless of canon or not, I think it's a shame

I also like the uniqueness of the mage but cardenas won my vote
(and before any naysayers, its only abit bigger than the Ent-J length wise, J's actually wider)
I'd like the Shepard to be a destroyer rather than a cruiser or battlecruiser since we already got those. It's too big to be an escort.
