Return of the Obelisk Carrier as a mission reward.. ??

I have been playing for a few years and would like to see the return of the Obelisk carrier via as a mission reward. yes I understand there is a version only available from the fleet store and Advance version in the Lobi store. Perhaps like the "Temporal Ambassador" mission in the Vigilance quest line, it was be a mission reward for the Sphere of Influence in the Solanae Dyson Sphere where we are first introduced to the Obelisk Carrier. Maybe we can get to the point where we can have an Obelisk Carrier, Fleet Obelisk Carrier, Advance Obelisk Carrier, and Fleet Advance Obelisk Carrier??

The problem is that the version that was given to players years ago... is the exact same version available at the Spire.

That and the lobi shop obelisk is (like all lobi ships) already "fleet quality".
Also the freebie/fleetyard obelisk is stuck at T5, only the lobi version gets the 5U.

Exactly many years ago soo there is a whole new batch of players that can get it... especially now we got the admiralty it would be just like the AMBASSADOR class from the Temporal ambassador mission.. a freebie ship...

Not this year. They're too busy with Age-o-Disco and haven't even had time to make the Jem'Hadar lifetime sub ships for paying customers. The next free ship will be the Winter event T6.

TECHNICALLY it can. The variant that was released as a T5 was retired, although the code still exists and it was given away to Fed players during a giveaway. I was lucky enough to snag that non fleet T5 Retrofit, and reclaim anytime through the C-Store.

Wish they would do the same with the T5 Kamarag. The versions in the fleet stores are actually Fleet Quality.

Actually the tier 5 was given away say a year ago for a short time if you just logged in and claimed it.

Uh... no. They gave away the Ambassador. The Kamarag wasn't. In that giveaway it was the Marauder Flight Deck Cruiser.

I was there for it. No Kamarag Retrofit. Just the Ambassador Retrofit.

Yup...if they gave the Kam away I would have jumped on it in a heartbeat...but KDF got the Marauder and I purchased it years ago.

Yea. And the "fallout" over the so called "lies" and the usual assumptions over Cryptic's motivations that someone that's been around as long as I have... is tired of seeing come up.

Makes me wonder why I ever venture out of Ten Forward honestly. I try and help and get slapped with "I know better" despite the evidence to the contrary.

I liked the Obelisk better when it had 2 Commander boff seats but sadly that was a one mission only feature.

I wouldn't mind a T6 Ambassador despite primary engi ships with sci as secondary being a least favorite of mine with engi heavy as my absolute least favorite.

Technically, the spiritual successor to the Ambassador is the Guardian. Similar layout and feel, and based on the Probert concept art for the Ambassador.

The Guardian is a great ship that looks like a classic Trek design. It's one of the many good ships in the Delta Pack.

I agree. Since at the time there was no T6 Sovereign, I flew the Guardian. Great ship, but the trait is kinda lackluster. Can be triggered even when you're at full health and is pretty much wasted.

BTW, the Kamarag was given away in an aniversary, year 2 or 3 with the introduction of Temporal Ambassador as a Feature Episode, with both the normal and the refit, but it was by character by then, then, a few years later, the c-store account unlock of the Ambassador where given for free

Well I disagree to an extent, if you compared the T5U Fleet Ambassador to the T6 Fleet Guardian you will find that they have differing stats such as the former having 5/4/2 console layout while the latter has 5/3/3. The ambassador is a little more science-y than the guardian.

I have the T5 promotional Ambassador Class. It is a good work horse for my characters. My romulan( fed ally) even has one.
