I know it’s unlikely but I would be nice if we got cardassian ground weapons as a mission reward
I like your train of though. Garak does use a Cardassian weapon so i would really love a cardassian set.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Will I be able to return a defeated Changeling to it's natural habitat, rather than turning it over to Security?
I laughed soooooo hard doing that as a Jem'hadar, after the mirror universe mission...
Well, to be fair, wasn't there a bit of trivia from the Path to 2409 you can unlock at the academies that said the Founders considered any Changeling in the Alpha and Beta Quadrant as rogue?
Also, if it weren't for the reveals in Tenebris Torment, I'd say "nope!" to saving them, just keeping Odo safe.
Yes, there was.
As for sentiment toward the Founders, you're correct. One wonders how the rest of them are going to react to the revelations from Havas-Kul.
Well, the mission has a bit too many enemy waves for my taste. But the story development is good, even if it means this arc completes a bit sooner than I expected.
The new set weapon is basically a shapeshifting ship weapon, altering between cannon and beam behaviour depending on whether you activate beam or cannon skills (only tactical skills apply, none of the other specialization weapon buffs). Don't really see that being used all that much, who still combines beams and cannons?
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I tried playing it but I'll have restart it later. The optionals may catch some players, like me, off guard because 99.999% of the time when I see an NPC with an "i" over their heads AND there's combat...then resolve the combat first. Also, in the heat of said combat one does not expect to have to divert ones eyes to a small portion of the screen to have to read something. Ain't mad. I just need to take quick breather and maybe redesign my away team. The maps, space and ground, look good though. Can't wait to see the rest.
Interesting mission, but the wrapping up of the story and chatting to all various NPC took too long in my opinion.
Reward reminds me of a polaron variant nausican set.

Could have done without the Discovery references and the response dialogue was a bit jarring when playing as a Jem'Hadar. But other than that it was very enjoyable.

It was, indeed, a very interesting episode to wrap the arc up with; if you'd been yearning to get stuck in dirtside, it certainly hit the spot. A couple of tips:
some have reported Hur'q being stuck inside terrain and thus invulnerable to attack. A quantum mortar will sort that out;
zone pause is a very helpful thing. Specifically, for making sure you pair up your boffs on the larger enemies (it helps if one in each pair has an anti-shield ability), because downing those quick cuts down on the spawning of the little ones; and
because most of the Hur'q love to close to melee range, giving your boffs pulsewaves might not be a bad idea (the alt-fire can knock things back and/or down), and shields with any sort of point-blank knockback or retaliation help too.

You don't; rather, it just means the weapon is perfectly usable in a beam or cannon loadout, rather than there being two different weapons (the Krenim Temporal Manipulation set, for instance, can use a turret or ODB as its weapon).

Well, it feels like it's more of a "you can use it with either style, this way we don't have to make two different weapons" thing, rather than a mixed-beams-n-cannons one.

But yeah, interesting episode... but I just can't imagine right now, wanting to slog through aaaaalllllll those Hur'q to get the other episode rewards. Let alone to get it on my other Polaron character.
awesome mission, thx for your efforts.
Everything is better than before in this expansion: ground maps, stories, the modelling of the characters. well done. the duo Odo/Quark is perfect.

DBBs/turret builds? People who use the NX lobi trait?
Pretty good mission! But so many (and annoying) enemies to go through, I felt like I was in a Warframe mission, except I can't spam abilities as much as in this game.
Also,
While it's a foregone conclusion your character survives, I was actually surprised by the brutality on the PC and the Boffs during the last stand cutscene.
Just like the rest of the expansion, the body and facial animations are great. Give the animators a raise and a medal!
Just a little thing about the rewards:
While the denouement was fairly obvious, revealing the last weekly reward to be unlocked right now pretty much spoiled what happens to the Hur'q.
And Lorriss, please don't startle me like that by suddenly shouting out of nowhere.
Prefect mission for a mine boat both ground and space. At the very last stage I just sat at the teleport point and watched the mines explodes. So many explosions.
Unless of course that's where we're going next. They did layer on a lot of DSC-era Klingon with the resolution in this episode being "what Martok did will probably be okay!" Naturally all this could end here as one great big red herring to throw at the end of an arc for reasons...but chances are this is setup for next season [in some way, it could be about this or something tangentially related to this].

Fantastic episode! The ground and space battles were good tests for some build ideas that I've been tinkering with since the expansion launched, and the story was rich and meaty.
Don't really see that being used all that much, who still combines beams and cannons?
If the fact that it doesn't count towards 2 omnibeam limit isn't a bug, it can be quite useful for certain ships/builds...
I was going to wait and see if the the three piece set bonus does something to make the turret worth equipping; I hadn't thought about the turret giving players a workaround for the limit on omnidirectional beams! The turret might be especially interesting on 4/4 weapon cruisers; on my 5/3 weapon ship, I'm using two omni beams and an aft torpedo for when the Hur'Q Swarmers are upon me.
Why is it that most of the Jem'hadar episodes have to be played twice because the bugs get stuck in walls or aren't around so that I can finish the mission and have to start over?
Solution: Add more respawn points before EVERY battle so even though it will still be frustrating, it will be less so.
URGH, noises in every system and sector space after Home. Even at ESD. I'm gonna see if a restart of the game solves it again. ARGHHHH!
EDIT: Yep, Hur'q chittering noises now gone. But has anyone else noticed the Drapped Mission "Gamma Quadrant" malakry that flashes up on the HUD on every map transition with the addition of this latest season?
Going back to the mission, honestly, the only part I really enjoyed a lot, was the space and ground warfare/pitched battle feeling, with the sense of urgency. And the cutscenes involving your boff crew and yourself putting up that fight in the face of superior numbers. Those were good. Except for the one where it shows you walking like nothing serious happened at the end of the stand. The ending to the episode, I didn't like. Not with everyone suddenly all acting like buddies with each other after a cheesy and quick solution. Felt like a recycling of the ending to Midnight, which wasn't great either. There were plotholes, politic popups for "shock value," and a general forgetfulness of what happened in the previous episode, and what was left hanging. And the thing with the "Sisko hello" during the arc? Or the TRIBBLE name-dropping?
Did someone hand off the writing greenlight to Rian Johnson or something? It all felt rushed, and all over the place. That or it felt like the quality of writing for an episode of current Monday Night Raw.

I'd say they were trying to homage the Siege of AR-558. Being overwhelmed sets the tone which the ending plays off from. Gameplay+narrative=experience and it doesn't always have to be self-affirming (carefully ramping up the difficulty to push players through a punishing scenario in order for that scenario to feel punishing does have its uses.)

Certainly hope STO doesnt do the huge mistake of a discovery themed expansion. the worst "Star trek" possible to do. will make a lot of fans very angry.

Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.

He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.

He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.

For stuck ENEMY NPC My Boff laid down a mortar and the mortar did the rest while we stood back and watched it go BOOM..
Episode was good and a fine end to the arc..But as someone said, did Kira drop a hint at a new ship in bound?!
There were a ton of enemy waves and the time the mission takes to run was much longer than I expected as a result, it could almost have been done as a two parter.
The comments from jimpok at the end suggest that they're maybe not going to looking into a klink civil war and the fate of a potential figurehead for crisis of faith within the dominion plotline has also been snuffed out.
Sometimes loose ends are good as you can then weave them into a new storyline instead of contriving a new way to blame the iconians (other races also applicable)
I did notice a wisp of smoke from a certain someone's forehead, if it was intentional then a nice touch.

The rewards from VIL were incredibly bland and not that useful to anyone who opted to level a jem and not twink them with gear from alts.

Is Liam McIntyre still voicing J'mpok?

I haven't watched Discovery. What was the reference? The Beacon of Kahless?
Name drops a few of the "Klingons" from Discovery.

Which isn't foreshadowing, nope not at all. After this our captain retires and the galaxy remains fine forever.
Then it, by definition, isn't Deus Ex Machina.
