I've been mastering my Jem Dread cruiser and it seems that the enemy is always rolling crits and taking half my health in one salvo.

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I was playing my Fed'Hadar in his Dreadnought, and got completely one-shotted by a quantum torp salvo while I was still at full health and full shields. It critted around 250k. Many enemies have been doing that lately. Not the first time it happened and certainly won't be the last unless the devs actually play the game on the holodeck server WITHOUT using any of their dev I-win buttons.

YOUR level isn't what he was trying to point out. There may still be some STFs that aren't scaling players properly. Before the last patch, it was pretty common to suddenly find yourself scaled down 14 levels in Kitomer space. So yea you're still 65, but for that run you're effectively at 51. And it wasn't just Jem'Hadar. It was everyone.
It's also easy to forget that if you're used to rolling the pilot spec tree plus zahl trait, give your all among other invulnerablilities + resists, a new fresh level 65 is going to blow up a lot more than a seasoned character.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
That is a good point, I have been mega critted on my main on ViL and that hurt

I'm finding Cure Advanced is the biggest culprit to helping my ship burn in space. Swarm/CCA/ISA/KSA/Rom patrols and Argala I can still handle easily, but get a couple of Raptors in CSA target you and you're going down fast
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.

Yes I have noticed this, I found my Jem carrier to be unusually very squishy and getting insta-killed at times or just receiving huge random amounts of damage.
Oh i also played Tzenkethi Front on advanced. Thats one is a slaughterfest if hit by the Battleships salvo.

Yet, it's ok for players to mega-crit is it?? It's highly likely that NPC's are using the Sci Probability Ultimate or they lots of Crit consoles just like players do.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

The difference is that it's max. 5 players versus a swarm of trashmods which already had double or tripple the HP we have and now they can also waste us like our ships are made of paper or something. Which clearly wasn't the case up to june 4th.
And the best part is that we don't know if this is WAI or not because as usual there's zero offical info about this phenomenon.
I'm not saying I want the pre ViL state back where enemies could barely scratch my hull but something drastically changed without any note given.

The thing is, I like the challenge, but on my Jemmy, he's bound to be under-powered compared to my main toon which doesn't have such an issue with the same enemy.

This is getting annoying. My new Jem toon is not even undergeared anymore, I've done the work on it and its very well geared, and it doesn't matter what ship I fly, or how much damage resist and defense I stack, enemys crit like madd sometimes now n take 90% of my health in one shot, if I'm lucky.

To be fair... the Raptors have ALWAYS been powerful PITAs. You'd think it would be the Negh'vars that would be the bigger threat, but those Raptors... they just plain hurt and ALWAYS have.
Jouret System Patrol, I'm in my Jem Dread Cruiser on my fed main which is very well geared. All I got was shields stripped and boom from Tholian torpedoes. Not once but about five or six times before I realized it was a lesson in futility and retreated out, watch out for Tholians, they hurt.

Tholians are just about as good at shield stripping as the Borg. ESPECIALLY with their Tetryon. And they have this annoying ability to knock out your engines and weapons.
Let's just hope the Elachi are not affected, Elachi pre-nerf were evil (anyone around from Legacy of Romulus knows what I mean).

Hmm. I'm only using a pure Fed non-JH to get into those battles. I should try it with my JH toon that to see what's happening.

I remember when we had a button press that could do that but it was just "no fun" so it got removed.
Very true, those warpcore breaches are insane since ViL hit.
I think it was a cube in a RA that killed me with a 100k (post resists) breach.

Sadly they started with the fragility side rather than the impulse engines that still work even when offline.
