Making them male means - in general - a higher level of aggressiveness and ambition, and more muscle mass. Why on Earth would the Founders bother to create a second gender? Female Jem'hadar are not needed for procreation, and they would be less perfect soldiers.

It's more insidious than that.....no females means they cannot breed and the Fouders have absolute control over their numbers. Rather sick, really

Um fron the DS9 series itself - the 'Jem Hadr' race does not have females. The Founders genetically created the race and all Jem Hadr are grown in vats (and experience accelerated growth (they grow to full maturity in a matter of days.) If you don't like that aspect complain to the DS9 series producers and writers (like Ronald D. Moore).
My counter-argument is that if the current batch was intentionally made that way, they could intentionally make a batch that isn't.

This, and it could have easily fit the story too. It's stated early on that the Dominion has taken heavy losses fighting the Hur'q, they could have easily worked in a few lines of dialog explaining that many Jem'Hadar production facilities had been lost, and that it had subsequently been determined that allowing the new Vanguard Jem'Hadar to reproduce sexually was necessary to maintain a sufficient fighting force.

Mixed bag honestly. Yes you could integrate female Jem'hadar to augment their standing forces, but the minute they start reproducing, you have to pull the pregnant soldiers off the front lines otherwise you risk losing both the mother and child. Then the issue of how long is the pregnancy gonna last, how long will the child take to grow up...

Then you have to consider exactly HOW they reproduce. Like mammals or like reptiles. Reptilian might be good for keeping forces on the front lines more, however you come into the problem of population control. Just look at the '98 Godzilla film. Just ONE Zilla was able to lay at least 200 eggs. Now... multiply those 200 eggs by the 200 offspring. If they are still dependant on Ketracel White... that kind of population explosion would put significant strain on resources, especially in a wartime situation where your forces and facilities are being decimated by the Hur'q.

If the Jem'Hadar were to become independant like the Jaffa from Stargate, they would need two things. A means to reproduce, and a means to survive on their own.

They could have easily worked in a few lines of dialog explaining that many Jem'Hadar production facilities had been lost, and that it had subsequently been determined that allowing the new Vanguard Jem'Hadar to reproduce sexually was necessary to maintain a sufficient fighting force.

This would be crazy. The Jem'Hadar have no concept of normal reproduction in their culture, such as it is. We don't even know if the "males" are capable of reproduction -- in fact, it seems likely that they aren't, so simply adding females wouldn't solve that problem. Not to mention the more than a little disturbing fact that the females would be little more than sex slaves in this scenario. In fact, you could argue that there would be sex slaves on both ends, given the "male's" apparent lack of a sex drive. No, this should be avoided.

The Jem'Hadar are aliens, and they should be allowed to remain alien, rather than be forced into human-shaped boxes consistent with the players' swimwear preferences. This is who they are.

Personally, I would have jumped at the chance to make a Vorta, probably female, but the developers clearly have a story in mind with the Jem'Hadar, and we should let that play out before deciding that their choices are wrong.

It could just as easily be CBS who said no Fem'Hadar and no playable Vorta/Changlings. Seeing as they are the ones that tend to approve or disapprove of what gets added to the game. So its easily likely that the devs wanted to add more then Jem/Jem Vanguard, but CBS said no. They have done it before.

The original topic about Jem'Hadar costume options being removed has been completely derailed, and I don't see a way to get this thread back on track without deleting a significant portion of this thread.

The topic of Female Jem'Hadar, Vortas, and other Dominion species has been added to the FCT, as it is causing nothing but arguments, flaming, trolling, and otherwise unfriendly conversations wherever the topic turns up. If, in the future, something changes for the Dominion/Jem'Hadar Faction with regards to this subject, this decision will be reevaluated.
