same here, graphics are ok except in-game displays and lcars are blurry af and object detail has been terrible since the patch yesterday. i hope there will be a fix to this soon. didnt have any problems playing before
I have the same problems, blurry textures almost on everything walls, clothes, NPC's, console displays, rocks.... And as it's mantioned, this all started with yesterdays patch. And today's patch didn't fix it, I think it made it worse. No settings in nvidia control panel didn't help, no ingame setings either. So we must wait till it get's fixed by dev. And I thought I was the only one that has this problem, since I was yesterday backi in game after almost 2 years. Here is example of bad textures: loresinger, sign on the floor and console displays.
And GPU memory shouldn't be problem since I have 4GB of GPU memory.
Well im glad im not the only one with this issue. I have been messing about with the display options hoping to improve it, but of course nothing changes .
However i have started having h issue of game closing unexpectedly when im playing with the graphic slide bars.
Chiming in here to report the same problem - I've been tinkering with the graphics options for some time, but to no avail. (Turning anisotropic filtering off completely seems to help a little, but doesn't eliminate the problem by any means.)
Same for me as well. Using GTX 950M GPU. It used to work like a charm before Thursday. Friday patch did not correct this. Tried resolution scale and rendering settings - no effect. The textures just don't load up as before.
Not only that textures are messed up. I've been on Nukara wright now and there are some serious problems. A lot of big christals (sorry my spelling) are just floating in the air, some chunks of floors are missing. Framerate on Nukara dropped almost literally to unplayable (if I had about 10 or less FPS) - specially in mission "closing the doors". And I know is not my system to blame, but latest two patches.
Same here. Nothing's changed. Thought it was something with my laptop, but no, all other games run fine. My GPU is a GTX 960M, so maybe it's an Nvidia thing?
I have an Nvidia card... I am not seeing graphics like that.
I have lighting 2.0 turned off....and my shadows are on low, or maybe even off.
I don't have my computer up so I do not have details.
Oh, and the game closing unexpectedly, that is the 32-bit vs 64-bit thing. You can change that option in the launcher options. Sign in on the launcher, and call up options, click on 32-bit, then hit Engage. <-- I did that on the first day. Then I switched it back to 64-bit, have not had problems since.

Has anyone of those who have problems with textures tried to revert Nvidia drivers to previous version? Just asking, if this helps. Otherwise I'll try to revert them and see if it helps.
I just wanted to chime in. I have the exact same problem. So many Textures are low res for me, in Space and Ground.
I have a laptop with Nvivia Optimus and GTX1070 and Intel HD onboard graphics card.
I also notice that in my game ini (check that out for yourself) the video card that is specified is always my onboard card (even though I tried to force it to run with the Nvidia card) AND the video card memory is set to 0!!! Which explains why there are no high res textures loading, cause something since patch prevents the graphic card's memory to be used... I hope they fix it soon! I returned 2 weeks ago with the Delta event and it is a shame now this happens and takes the fun out of the game.

I have older drivers - yes, yes, I know I should keep them up to date, but I'm always at least 2 or 3 versions behind - and I have the problem too. So it's not (just) that.

Spent ages checking my system was up to date, yesterday (I'm just using boring old Intel HD). Still no improvement. Caitians seem to be the worst, they are very fuzzy kittehs indeed.
Of course, it seems the textures are fetched anew every time you revisit them, so you could be talking to someone perfectly normal one time, and ten minutes later they are Mr. Blobby again. (Happened to me with the starbase transporter operator today - go to dilithium mine, no problem; come back and go to the research lab, and he's all horrible plasticine face.)
Is it just me or does this issue seem to get worse as time progress. Now, anecdotal evidence and observation bias are of course things so it may just be me who notice it more, but like the guy down at Starfleet Academy you talk to for the Junior Officer's Event looked fine on Friday and Saturday, then yesterday and today he's all blurry. Some for random npcs that walks past me, more and more of them look blurry.

I don't have this bug, but I want to ask the people who do what version of Windows they are running. Are you running Windows 10? If so, are you running 1803 (also known as Redstone 4 or the April 2018 Update, previously referred to as the "Spring Creators Update")?

It seems as if many textures simply do not load completely, regardless of the display/graphics settings.
Issue started with today's patch.

I have tried putting AF onto 16x and it doesn't fix it either. Normally it should.
