Premise of the eppisode looks interesting as it would look to be our first episode where we take the part of somebody else. This could open so many possibilities for the future.
Certainly looks interesting. A very different and unusual direction, to be sure. Can't wait to see how it plays out. I wonder what the rewards will be.
Monster play may be interesting, but with the Dyson Destroyer introduction in the back of the mind it may also be horrible.
Some info about the rewards and duration would be nice.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Glad to see her get some more love.
Hopefully, this will lead to other missions like that with other NPCs, like the renegade Tuterian from an older blog whose fate was never revealed, Martok TRIBBLE at Torg as he has to keep fighting and being revived, and why not L'Miren doing some work on Iconia and trying to find her sister before the Hur'q arrive to ruin her efforts to rebuild her civilization.
Or even a Tribble ruining a Klingon effort to build a colony.
When please? part of 14.5 or ViL or sooner. So desperate for anything coming...
Should know better by now than to ask 'when'. #Soon
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
IDK - It maybe interesting, but why make a character if I'm not going to play it in a mission? It might be good for a one off, but if you're going to let me play as an NPC, I'd rather be one of the one's from the various shows/films.
Also, if I have to spend time setting up power trays (like we've had to when we do other NPC ships that we don't own missions), yeah, it'll be one time and never play again because that is honestly a PITA.

>Hur'q
>ruining the Iconian's efforts
Lol, by now, the Iconians likely have some sort of super defense system set up around their system so no one can bother them. I doubt the Hur'q could even get close.
I'm merely following the game's logic.
Iconians trashing 1/3rd of the allied fleet, New Romulus, destroying the Preserver Archive and a Starbase on the first day: "That doesn't look good, but we can still do this and make them pay!"
Hur'q swarmers dropping like flies so easily there is an achievement for killing as many as possible (that is hard because of steal-killing NPCs) and just damaging DS9 and allies made of papier mache: "Oh crud, we're so dead, they're everywhere! Game over man, game over! [...] Oh thank Kahless the Dominion saved us at the last minute!"
Monster play may be interesting, but with the Dyson Destroyer introduction in the back of the mind it may also be horrible.

Agreed. This could be a very fun thing - if we're not forced into using a horribly inefficient and illogical build this time.
Let's hope we'll have some freedom as to what we use, both for the ship as well as for the captain.
I really like all the Tzenkethi characters so far and we have never really had the oppertunity to play as a more exotic non-humanoid species before besides when Q desides to have a little fun with us.
This really shakes things up a little bit and if successful I would like to see more episodes played from the perspectives of other characters like the Iconians, Vadwaaur, Voth, Tholians. There is a lot of potential here for some really great storytelling. Hopefully it works out.
Indeed. If it works, this could become really interesting.
I would especially like playing as a Voth or an Iconian, even if it's only once and only in one specific episode.
Maybe we'll also see more playable species being released as a result of this.
The Rising of the Delta is the best expansion ever, and people love it to death because it is a good day to die in the endless struggle for supremacy of your own conviction. (A spin off of the Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and all the players love it.)

Since the trays no longer load up with weapons and devices automatically, it will be easier. The troublesome part will be if using the different ship wipes your personal traits on the first play through, like it seems to do in every other mission where you do it. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to happen (at least to me) on replays, but it's annoying when it inevitably does that first time through.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.
Time to write down my trait set-up, since they still haven't removed the trait unslotting feature from using new ships.
Hmmm, what if we got to play as the Captains of the ST TV series, without VO (so they don't have to worry about how much would be needed to fork out the clams to hire them)?

no word on mission rewards? or how many weeks this FE will last for?
If it's not in the blog, it'll be SOON. Should know that by now.

Posted link seems broken to me.

Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
Also, will there be a First Contact Day event?

Anyway, hoping it'll be good and Neth won't be too slow since a walking Tzenkethi is quite funny to watch.
I, as well, would like to know when this goes live.

Infinity Lockboxes slightly sooner.
