No "new" rankings when you hit level 65. Probably they did not want to inject controversy by adding a new title "Grand Admiral" or "President" of the United Federation of Planets.

Well, Star Wars notwithstanding, grand admiral was historically the same grade as fleet admiral anyway, just used by different countries (e.g. German Großadmiral, through WWII).

No "new" rankings when you hit level 65. Probably they did not want to inject controversy by adding a new title "Grand Admiral" or "President" of the United Federation of Planets.
Would be pretty hard to have President, since that's a civilian position, while Admiral is a military one! But yeah, wouldn't make much sense to go higher than Fleet Admiral, infact, Fleet Admiral didn't make that much sense. "I am the Fleet Admiral, and so is everyone else!"
Ranks are pretty much pointless now. Best they can be anymore is titles and markings on the uniform. Going down the president route would be like SWTOR's Eternal Empire route and they're dumping that in a new expansion since it wasn't doing so hot for a lot of people.
So as far as the newly announced ships go the only one i'm really interested in is the Vanguard Dreadnought and the Vanguard Jem'hadar species. I'm going to wait to see if the Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser has frigates like the JHDC. However I'll definitely be buying at least the Starter pack as I've been waiting a long time for the Jem'Hadar faction. Good job Cryptic

I'm waiting for the ship and race stats to be announced. I do find it odd that the ships announced won't be exclusive to the JHD faction. Its also odd that they are giving the lobi ships away in a pack as well. I wonder if this means there won't be a whole lot of ships for the new faction.
I am curious if lifetime subscribers will get a liberated borg Jem'Hadar and if not will they be given the vanguard? Will there be a JHD lifetime destroyer?

I think you got your wires crossed, as, the way I read it, half of the Jem ships is not only available to Jem toons, but *must* be gotten on that toon first, until you reach lv 5 Mastery in them, so you can unlock them for your other toons.

I kinda doubt that unless it's T5 or less kind of how Romulans are in their respective faction choices. Be odd if they changed that for Dominion/Cardassians and not setup Romulans as well.

Id like to see some more ships just for variation, and add in a cardassian shuttle and a jem'hadar shuttle each to keep with the race themes. They did it for romulans after all, a cardassian shuttle and jem fighter would make sense. Hopefully with admiralty x5 crit so KDF and Romulans can claim them since feds have like 5-6 of those for missions.
