Game is nearly un playable now, CTD every 15 - 20 minutes. I've shut down nearly all my background progs, updated my D3D but had no effect. Y'all planning on fuxing this issue? Or at least telling us a possible cause.
Well, as someone not having this issue, I can say it has nothing to do with the game itself. So, could you post these things?
CPU make (AMD, Intel, I7, I5, I3, ECT) and speed
RAM speed and size (In GB)
GPU model
Windows version
Also, please do these things:
The STO launcher has Options menu in the top right hand edge. Click Options to access all the troubleshooting tools.
- Make sure you are running the game as Administrator or account with administrator rights.
- Make sure all the game's exes are in your PC's Firewall exceptions.
- Make sure your anti-malware program active defenses is not interfering with the STO game files.
- Use the troubleshooting compatibility options in Windows OS.
- Try the lowest graphics quality level, then work your way back up the higher graphics quality choices.
- Uncheck On-Demand patching.
- Select None for the Patching Proxy.
- Try to use Safe Mode in the STO launcher Options
- Use Force Verify in the STO launcher Options to check the files integrity in STO
- Force the use of Direct3D X11 in the STO launcher by entering in the Command Line of the launcher Options, type " -d3d11 "
- Don't use the Steam link option Verify Integrity of Game Files ( in the Local Files tab of properties) except to check the launcher when first time you installed the game from Steam.

Encountering the same problem as well, have been since the recent patch, it just keeps crashing first whenever I tried to enter an area and now crashing while sorting out duty officer assignments. Looks like something got past the recent patch.
I’m having same issues I can play a good hour or more then I start a new mission or enter a different battle zone then the the game just closes no error pops up no crash report nothing.

Since the last patch on the 26/4/2018
ramdem carshes 2 to 6 with no error reports from sto or windows or in event viewer.
when I or anyone in the fleets refine dill the game frezzes for a second.
Before the patch me or anyone in the fleets had zero ctd or frezzes when we refrine dill.

I'd have to look see at my exact stats, but atm I can tell you I use the Nvidia Gforce graphics driver, and Win 10, if that tells the devs anything.
Also, G force recently updated their drivers, so I am wondering if that may have anything to do with it.
And knowing is half the battle!
