Why can't I patch?

I just had to replace my computer. I had no issues reinstalling ARC and STO, but when I try to play, I can log on normally, and then get to the 'patching' notification and then NOTHING HAPPENS.

What can I do?

    Nevermind. I solved it. Apparently the STO process got jammed but wasn't visible. I was able to manually reset.
