2 failed pugs and I am ready to throw in the towel. Don't have the time on this holiday weekend to keep wasting time failing to get the voucher. And I was doing half the damage and all the healing! Back to playing other games as I wait for my Borg Lockbox ;-)

With the new queue matching system, it puts you together with people of comparable build strengths, so if you want a good run, do it on your best build.

Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
Also on most PUGs I've noticed most people are too busy blowing stuff up to take the aggro, or heal the KM. If you have a tank with a heal, you will extend your groups life.

The Prototype Dreadnought it perfect for this. This is what she's like without fleet stuff.
She's a tank, she can pour out the damage, she has pets, and she's got the protomatter console.

Ok, what is the deal with Kobayashi Maru.... Ran the event on 14 different toons on Thursday 6/29 around 5 PM CDT. Did not receive a single voucher. Just ran on three toons today ... only received voucher on one toon ... at this rate I will not have enough time to gain the equipment. Any thoughts?
How do you claim the weapons on other characters after one of them has completed the event project? They're not in the Reclaim tab in the Dilithium store, and the event can't be started by other characters without more vouchers.

The Tokens can be earned by ANY Character on the Account.
The Account Unlock is in the EVENT REPUTATION STORE under the Account Reclaim Tab.
Excess Weekend Event Vouchers earned here (or Sompek Arena for that matter) can be stored and used in ANY future Weekend Event.

I got my Account rewards with one of my alts who only made it to Round 5. With my main alt whom I've had since 2013, I was fortunate enough to last to 20 until the Maru died.
At least one of my toons is tough enough for the test.
I really hope you Devs bring back the test with just enough time to get the other alts up to snuff.

As someone who already finished it.... If you can't solo the first two waves, you're not good enough to be allowed to whine about the quality of PUGs..
I guess the mission is okay. some will like it more. i liked the ground one better. Why? LAG.
all of these interesting effects and hazards are swell. i would like to enjoy them. but it's impossible with the lag. Yes, they improved it some with their fix (and i think increased the difficulty) but not enough to make it really enjoyable for me.

I wasn't even on a properly geared character, my phaser user is still rocking MK 12 gear on a few ships, and still did my fair share of damage just pressing BOFF skills whenever I felt like it. If your pug group failed that hard then you got match made with people in all white Mk X gear who had no boff powers slotted because that's what you were using as well. It only gets hard once you pass round 3 and they start doing all the weird combo's, like the Doomsday Machine just randomly spawning for a round that you have to avoid.

(2 finish time event, 1 till 10 round and the other 3 only to round 3 so did not get voucher) The 3 failed round no one was healing except me and they were killing too slow. I used protomatter to heal but as soon as Kobayashi Maru moved out of range it dies really fast. You will fail if you are the only one healing.
The rewards from the event are UR MKXII but no madifiers what so ever? Did I miss something??
And yeah at times the que maching for the event seems screwed..Your paired with players that like to forget the maru and so am basically left to defend and heal it and basically stay stuck with it where ever it goes..Most of the time the other players are getting blown to bits atleast twice per round and I'm just using UR MKXII fleet weapons and some other stuff that are MKXIII..
it is certainly possible to lose in the first 3 rounds. it depends where the ship wanders and what it wanders into. a doomsday device for example. today i saw some really good healers save the ship in round 3 when it was down to 20% and would have been killed before finishing the round. Not many players are able and aware enough to heal like that. after the recent sci nerf i have almost no healing at all and barely fix the ship 1%.

I failed it during round 3 once out of 6 PUG runs. I guess that makes it like Russian Roulette. It was enjoyable overall, but lag from everything made it annoying at times.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

My point was that getting to a high level requires an entire team of people capable of soloing the first few waves. If you can't do that, then it's not just your team that sucks.

I liked Extend Shields, it's not a true heal but rather a way to prevent damage.
This event was fun in my opinion. Was it flawed with some glitches? Yes, but nothing too breaking to where I wouldn't play it. One time it skipped-out on rewarding the pug I was in at the end which seemed to be a moderate occurrence so I waited patiently, did other things, then was rewarded the 2nd attempt. Nice weapons though I'm still not sure hope effective they'll be for game play I look forward to testing them out. Also, it would've been nice to offer a extra marks or dilithium reward for those willing to complete it every day upon the Reputation available. Once I got the 3 day completed there was no opportunity for anything like that in Reputation. Thanks again, Cryptic for this Kobayashi Maru & well done to those players that to many MANY levels. None of my pugs never passed 8. Lastly, well done on the livestream showcasing this event. That definitely stokes the excitement for these type of events.
Uh yesterday I got qued into an active session where the team already there was in the second round and I spawned with the new summer event carrier right into the center of the Voth bombardment..Is that normal? Also the trait progression is not effected by this event..
As for the reward weapons..Still wondering and confused as to the no modifiers on them..
