There is a Cooldown Timer on the upper right just above the list of Queues. In a very dark red color and represents the Cooldown for the currently selected Queue.

There are more issues with this new match system than just the UI, although I do hate the UI and have already mentioned it and put in my vote for rolling back to the old system, which we all know is not going to happen. But even worse than the clunky UI and loss of functionality in just being able to queue for the missions we want, there are apparently a number of bugs actually affecting queue gameplay.
1. Being warped into a map with no warning whatsoever. Others have mentioned this, but I want to reiterate what pain it is to get no confirmation message whatsoever, not be able to confirm that you are ready to join the queue or decline if you are not, and just be warped in willy-nilly.
2. Connectivity issues. I have been in multiple stfs since the new UI/match system was implemented where one player gets stuck in some sort of connectivity loop bug. They repeatedly "join the match" and "leave the match" or "join the team" and "leave the team" over and over and over throughout the entire mission, essentially leaving the team down one player for the whole thing. I don't know what causes this, but I have noticed that if one of my toons is queued for missions, if I log that toon out and log it back in a relatively short time (like if I'm doing some cross-toon bank biz or something), that first toon will still be queued up when I log her back in, which should not be the case. A toon should not be able to remain in a queue when it's been logged out. And I suspect that this may be related to weird connectivity bug I've been seeing.
I waited a bit to see what fixes will be done. The ones that ware implemented until now are pretty good but there are still lots of problems.
1. Dificulty - add 3 narow colums with checks, one for each dificulty; this way you can easy track and check/uncheck the dificulty you wanna play. And by being narrow it won't consume too much space
2. Remember -very important - make another global check that will ask the player if they want their options remembered
3. Fix the teaming problems - pretty often some member of a team get into the game while others are left behind
4. Ask before warping out - ...
5. Fix the "join the match" - "leave the match" thing - this is annoying
Fixing this issues will make the smile return on many people faces. The new UI looks good but poor programing and lack of proper functionality ruined it. Also thanks for listening the players.

I agree, especially with the team, if we join in 3, 2 go and one does not, or vice versa

That doesn't work, because each difficulty is it's own queue with separate stats, not just a checkbox. At least the wait time and the number of people queued has to be visible or you're queueing blind. An option to display them the old way, on separate lines, is the only way to show that all at once.

Ohh yeah .. somehow this escaped me. Imo saparate lines should be an option for players that want it. As a dev said "more options are a good thing".
A bit of an odd occurrence, the game said I was matched to a queue, I accepted, but nothing happened except I was removed from the queue without actually going to it.
I had to queue again and wait for the queue to fill for a second time.

If you will note that the Mirror Event wasn't fully converted to the new dropdown Difficulty setting. There is a line for normal and another for Advanced. Each of those lines have the dropdown.

Initially, yes. I got a screenshot of that. But after a while they'll get merged into one line and then stay that way.
This tells me the queues are still defined separately and the new way of showing them is some kind of always-on filter that combines them on your screen, after the fact. What we need is an option to turn that off.
I REALLY hate that I can't queue for another mission without dropping the previous queue first. Before, if something took too long to pop, I could just scroll down and add a couple more. Now you have to do any multiple queuing all at once, never piecemeal. This is a symptom of prioritizing cosmetic "newness" over functionality.
Aka, "Never without my permission!" And I'm talking about the new queue system, of course, which constantly warps me out without my permission. Sometimes it has the pretence to ask you, but then warps you out already before you can even accept. DON'T DO THAT! Not only is it rude, it's also extremely incovenient, in like CCA, when you have to close all your open windows first, just because the system couldn't be arsed to ask your permission first.

I honestly find it odd that they still haven't understood how big of an abomination this new queue UI is.
They know, but they invested DEV time and money into developing it, so despite it not working properly and being a pain in the backside to US who have to use this abomination, for those reasons we are stuck with it.
I also expect it to take a minimum of 6 months for them to get this fully functionally and the bugs ironed out.

Is it just me that thinks its clumsy and more work? Cant click join que when you want, have to leave all ques to add another one in... Have to dig for other difficulties... Seems kinda clumsy and a step backwards..
The difficulty selection has been implemented in a very bad, impractical way. Otherwise I think it's okay. I definitely find the queues I want to join much easier now.

Am I stupid, or is there now no way to queue for the same mission at multiple skill levels? It only seems to let me check normal, advanced or elite, and not any combination thereof.

It's a freakin nightmare. The old one was lightyears better than the new one.
It's not *that* bad, really. It just needs fixing. Primarily the part where it warps you without your permission.
Well, they put the all category and the cooldowns back already. Still need separate-line difficulty display option and that info window that tells you when it's waiting for players to accept and when it's about to warp you so and it'll start being good again.
At least from a design perspective. Then there's the bugs which I'm not sure if they fixed yet.
The separate line difficulties are there underneath but some universal filter that they apply ends up combining them. Just look at how Mirror Incursion rolled out. At first, for me, there were two separate lines, one for Normal and one for Advanced, each with the difficulty drop-down selector. After a bit during that day, those lines ended up merging so you only saw one line with the difficulty drop-down selector

I actually don't have a problem with that part. I get a little tired of queues going to "ready" status, and then cancelling because a couple chuckleheads decided not to accept. IF YOU AREN'T READY TO ROCK, DON'T QUEUE.

Yes, I noticed that myself, even got a screenshot of it.
Hopefully that means it will be a simple matter to add a checkbox somewhere to turn this filter off and leave them visible as separate lines.

But yea... Cryptic honestly does need to polish that up. I kinda miss the countdown that let us know we were going in.
