Oh I quite liked that they used the Dhelan ship design, and then added Reman aesthetic to the design, and that we can use parts from the Dhelan ship line. Though I will say I hope that owning both the Slithus, as well as the Shikaris escorts will give access to either their overall design, or just parts that you can use for mix and matching between the two.
Hey devs if you are about, any chance you could turn some of the old c-store heavy weapon consoles into heavy weapons?
I was chatting and there were so many wonderful heavy weapon consoles that would make amazing heavy weapons such as the VATA, spinal disruptor cannon, ect and give more reason to delve into the c-store back catalog if you could buy the ship then in reclaim get a heavy weapon slottable version
Heck, make a conversion token if you have to monetise it further but there are so many great weapon consoles that could fit the heavy weapons slot
I actually think turning some of the heavy weapon-like consoles could be interesting to see them converted into a heavy weapon that can be slotted on these ships, though not sure on the quad-cannon being one of them though. I honestly could even see them adapting some of the built-in lance-weapons on the Dreadnaughts to be intergrated into being heavy weapons instead, and which would also make it that if you wanted to focus on a energy-type that was not the same as the lance-weapon you could merely swap it out over keeping it as a weakened long cd weapon. I could see at least three versions of heavy weapons honestly, which have the issue that either they are a bit limiting, or which have a similar fact of being quite wek an not being affected by boff abilities.
Possible Heavy weapon variant: THis is merely ideas of weapons I could see being added to this slot, which could add to variety an playstyle choices.
Gauss/Rail/Coil-gun: This is as described with the new escorts a kinetic based heavy turret, which compared to the Kinetic cutting beam deals damage periodically over consistently.
Beam-lance: This is the long range single target high damage beam weapons, that have a long charge-up/cooldown between shots, and which are normally on dreadnaughts like the Gal-x.
Pulse-emitters: These are similar to the Lance weapons except are shorter range, but have a cone-like area of affect which have similarly a long duration charge-up/cool-down to them, and are seen on the scimitar.
Cluster-torpedo: Now this one is a bit different as it is a normal none build-in weapon, but is a weapon that could be seen as a heavy weapon that has quite high potential for devastation. To me this could encompass three types of cluster-torpedos which either a built-in defense system like the bio-neural torp, mines they lay around a target, or mini-torpedoes they launch or fire at targets.
The only cats I like, in any universe, are Blaze, Meowth, and Guenhwyvar, the rest can all go suck vacuum so I won't be getting either of those ships. Wish they had made a T6 Kumari instead, that one even has a heavy weapon concept ready to go already if they convert the wing canons to heavy weapons.
If they did not intend to give the "Heavy Weapon Slot" to BoPs, they would not have said "Raiders". They would have said "ships that meet the following criteria:Tier 6 starships with a Tactical Commander seat, 7 weapons, and 1 or fewer Hangar Bays". All BoPs have 6 weapons, automatically disqualifying them from receiving the "Heavy Weapon Slot".
It seems clear that the Kor, Fleet B'rel [T6], and D4x are included in ships that are going to get the "Heavy Weapons Slot".
Other fun thing to note: the stat post shows the Ferasan ship's alignment is also Starfleet.
The pictures were initially labeled wrong. The Reman vessel also does not have it's Romulan Cloak in the description. This particular blog post is rife with copy-paste errors. Not the end of the world, though I can understand why it would irritate players.
TWO different groups. Stop making churn where there is none. Unlike many other Cryptic pronouncements this one is NOT ambiguous.

ANY Bird of Prey (while it's a Raider, it's all universal, only the cross-faction raiders have a CDR tac seat, only 2 "bird of prey" ships are Tier 6, only one is expensive enough to justify it under the 'special ship' rule-that being the D-4).
Wanna bet on this?
what medium of exchange?
The smug feeling of being right / crushing defeat of being wrong.
I already won a bet against amazonada a while back (Post-Delta Rising, whether the new Winter ship would be Tier 6 or still be only Tier 5). I think we bet 5,000,000 EC. (Basically nothing for long-term players, I suppose, but the point is really the smug feeling of being right. ) I'd also accept payment in more Klingon History fan fiction on Ten Forward.

I for one am confident that BoPs will get the Heavy Weapon slot. As to when that will happen in relation to other ships . . . That is open to speculation.
I am thinking that the heavy weapon slot will fully get implemented to the ships in the new expansion, and with that time we might see some new additional heavy weapons that can be swapped about for the heavy weapon slot. I would hope it would not merely be just one weapon even if that weapon had many variants of it, but several different heavy weapon variants of varying types both Kinetic an energy based.
+30% Crit chance and+20% damage for 8s? That's an enormous damage boost for a trait you can get to use every 20s or so... looks like it will become a "mandatory" one unless changed.
unless you are using EM to spin around in big, but carefully-controlled, circles, you are NOT going to be in a good position to take full advantage of that trait

Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

Well, you could always put it in park if you wanted ...

yes, they do - and that ironically makes them better users of the trait rather than the ship class they came with
It isn't the first time. Any ship with more than 2 science console slots can use the Resolute's trait, "Improved Weaponized Emitters", better than the Resolute can.
Well I pulled the trigger after originally deciding "no more purchases until after the rebalance" and have to say I like the Caitlan Escort.
1 complaint thou and it is about the clickie console. It appears to have a mind of its own, activates when it wants to.

I bought the 3pk. I love the customization choices on the Reman ship, just as much as I love having a ship for my 3 Ferasans.
Using non-federation ships on me fed characters still feels off.
I am going to have to make a Caitian Captain or something and have him be an independent contractor or something, I dunno. But yes love the ships, no regrets.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

Don't worry, Bort will nerf it to death soon.
