'But to be logical is not to be right', and 'nothing' on God's earth could ever 'make it' right!'
Judge Dan Haywood
'As l speak now, the words are forming in my head.
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
Yeah, now the thread officially got weird. Let's not go there, please. I want the Devs to fix her.
Anyway, do we know Andrea is "apparently not Soong or Korby-types"? Apart from her somewhat out-of-place uniform (or, rather, a uniform I can't so directly place), for an Android, I don't see why she couldn't be a spawn of Soong.
@markhawkman was saying that the Veteran Android is not a Soong or Korby-type. Although, I disagree, and think that the Veteran Android would fall into the Soong-type category as it is meant to mimic Data, and most likely represents the Daystrom Institute's continued research in that field.
Andrea, however, is a Korby-type Android, and the uniform she is wearing is lifted directly from the TOS episode in which she appeared, "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" And I believe @ltminns line is a reference to a line spoken by her in that episode in which she tells Kirk that she is "not programmed" for him. Given K-13's TOS setting, and the fact she is lifted directly from TOS, Andrea would be the spawn of Korby engineering, not Soong.
Do I understand that there is an option for a Brown, Korby-type Android? If so, does anyone have a pic? Personally, I think it'd be great if they also had the Ruk "Old Ones" type Android.
My head cannon says that K-13 was the place The Enterprise 1701 ( James T Kirk's ship) dropped off all the android tech they came across in their first 5 year journey.... then when K-13 disappeared it took it all with it...
Explains the lack of androids between TOS and TNG ( Data excepted ).
I must warn you, I am quite Isane! I am Grand Duchess of the Abh Empire: Beneej Letopanyu Spoor!

ya forgot mudd's androids from "I, Mudd" episode
and tbh if someoen ask me those guys there would be more logical choice for devs to use here - both Andrea and Dr Brown androids have been destroyed in the outcome of the episode they've been shown in - and the method of manufactoring them heavilly implied that living model was needed to be replicated into android... and on top of that the very same ep have even more heavilly implied that their respective biological "originals" are no longer available... os unless there have been something I forgot from that ep it makes no sese for those to reappear.
for Mud's Androids though - these were "easy" to make and in all shapes and customisations and stuff - so imo quite more logical to be implemented into game... unless devs are holdign this out for later and/or just wanted to put somethign more easilly recognisable....

I specifically did not hide that Gorn picture in a spoiler window. I wanted all to see and appreciate the Magnificence of Gorn-kind.
Dual use item.
