T6 Klingon Carrier

jade1280jade1280 Member Posts: 868 Arc User
I belive Klingons deserve a T6 Carrier ship with access to new and original Vo'quv/Vod'leh skins.

Who else would love a Klingon T6 Carrier ship equivilent to the Federations new Jupiter or better?
Show of hands in the poll below because Cryptic loves polls! :)

PS: People are interested in Ferasan, Gorn and or Orion skins for it as well D:

You forgot the third option: "No opinion."

These polls aren't in any way accurate because they always involve self-selecting samples (which a statistically valid poll can't have), but adding "none of the above" or "not interested" at least allows one to determine whether the issue is worth pursuing. Because only "yes" and "no" are offered, you can't tell who's abstaining. (Well, now you can tell there's at least one person abstaining.)

Why would any Klingon need more than an EV suit and their bare hands for an Honorable space battle?

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Would really like a T6 Karfi carrier.

Got my regular one back when carriers were klink only and compared to the spacebarge that was the voquv it was (and kind of still is) fun to fly. Carriers with frigate hangar options are pretty sparse without going into lockbox territory.

Not super interested in a Klingon Carrier myself. Simply not my preferred play style. Given their conquering history, it would only make sense that Klingons and their allies have something as large as a carrier or troop transport. So, unless someone provides me a reasonably convincing explanation against it--I vote "Yea!" because "why not?".

No, I hate when the Klingons get stuff. Everything should go to the Federation.

The KLingons can keep their never-reworked old Vo'Quv and the half-transparent Kar'Fi and be happy about that.

    Not.

Though I despise polls, and have no Klink alt to speak of (only lv. 40), I support them getting a T6 carrier! At least they made Roms totally OP! The Klink just got abandoned, pretty much.

I bought the science 3-pack, I'd buy this.

I'd even buy it in a 3-pack bundle if Cryptic added a Romulan carrier and paired this with the Jupiter.

To be honest, I know one reason:

There is no way in hell we'll get a Klingon Tier 6 Vo'Quv and also a revamp of the original ship models. And those are extremely ugly, original release level quality models. I am not sure that there would it be feasible to really add a new model with a higher level of quality. I suspect any mix & matching would lead to horrible results. SO they could just as well create a completely new ship and not be bound by the old model.

      Tier 6 Vo'Quv Command Carrier
Yeah, I know, Command is probably the worst specialization we have, but I think it would be the most fitting one thematically, and there are some Command Powers that I think would work really well with a full wing of Carrier Pets. Rallying Point for example will be awesome for your pets.

        • Passive Benefit: Grants a bonus to Auxiliary Power and a bonus to Stealth rating.
        • Active Benefit: You gain the normal benefits of cloak, and all carrier pets within 15 km are cloaked. For the first 15 seconds while you are cloaked, and the first 15 seconds after you uncloak, your pets remain cloaked even when firing weapons. Allies in the same radius gain a bonus to stealth. Actually... they've done a lot of revamping of Fed ships that have customization options, and other than the Defiant most have come out pretty decent with the other parts. They also did a revamp of the Negh'var back when they made the Negh'Tev, allowing for a more canon Negh'var as well as the Negh'var variant we saw in All Good Things. So saying that we won't get a new ship and a revamped model is false as we have seen them do it many times in the past already.

I have the mirror Vo'quv in my inventory and to be honest the only redeeming quality is the access to BoP pets.
Maybe i am biased due to my preferred play style involving fast and agile ships, but the Vo'quv carrier is IMO something best forgotten.

Allow the pets to be used on all carriers and flight deck cruisers though.

Carrier playstyle is different from escort playstyle. I'd compare it more to beam cruiser playstyle. Set up right, the Mirror Vo'quv used to be one of the tankyest ships KDF side. Don't know if that still holds true now with T6...

absolutely yes, in fact more than one carrier should be upgraded to T 6 ( both the Vo'Quv and the Kar'Fi are marvelous ships and should be updated including new skins ) . I like the ideas for the command carrier by mustrumridcully0 ( it should most definitely have a science emphasis , including the same crappy turnrate the Vo'Quv now has ...) .I always feel carriers should be science boats anyway . As is even the Vo'Quv T5 is still a great ship ( if you equip it with advanced/elite BoP's ,beams all around with torpedos fore and aft ,GW ,torpedo spread and FAW )

I still love to approach DS 9 with a Vo'Quv and see how tiny every other ship is compared to that one ....

Not only no but HELL NO! To many carriers as it is and far too few players that know how to fight them. I have lost count of the fails in PVE pugs caused by a player using a Carrier as a Cruiser or Escort or Sci ship.
