Why is your patching being very slow today? I took a long time to get past 0.4% when it should be going full speed ahead and no it is not a problem on my end, this as far as I know has never happened to me. Now, I am stuck at 1.9%. Please fix this and re-patch tomorrow. Thanks.
It finally worked out last night after being some wobbly before.
It's still hung up on "patching". It was partway though, then froze, earlier today. I had to log out and shut down. When I came back to resume now it won't even recognize where it is.
I'm running Linux and play STO through Play On Linux. I've been running the WINE setup as Windows 7. Everything was great until last night (December 7th). Now when I try to log on, I get an unexpected token error. Looking at the debug script, it looks like the issue arises when the launcher tries to authenticate with the server. Funny thing is, I reimaged my whole computer and did a clean install of STO. The initial log on runs great and the client installs the 14 GB update. The issue starts after that initial login, leading me to believe that the issue is the launcher update that they pushed yesterday.
I have STO installed on multiple systems, 3 Windows and 1 Linux. I primarily play on Linux, and one of the Windows systems got the launcher update, but I snagged the un-updated launcher from one of the Windows systems that hadn't updated and copied it over the updated on Linux (and kept a backup of it also). Firing up STO, the launcher updated again and then launched the game client with no problem (but immediately got the javascript error on exiting and attempting to re-enter the game). So, the currently updated launcher IS hosed. Until the launcher issue is fixed, I'll just over-write the updated launcher with my archived older one to get into the game.

Try starting the launcher from Wine Command Prompt.

I'm using Wine raw, not through PlayOnLinux (at least I assume that is where you find "Wine Command Prompt"). I also run the game using padsp otherwise PulseAudio would completely mess up the game.

The Wine Command Prompt you can start via the PlayOnLinux interface is wineconsole.exe located in c:/windows/system32 of each prefix. So if you're lucky it's not just a PlayOnLinux thing but a WINE thing
I think you need some kind of "windows" command prompt to make the console output of the launcher work again.

Windows10 64 bit with GeForce 1070 if it matters.
