Odd monitor problem! Image going on/off repeatedly.

Evening ladies and gents. I got myself a new ASUS PG248Q ROG Swift monitor, and so far it's been bloody amazing. However I've run into a somewhat strange issue, this is happening also in Rise of the Tomb Raider when I select the "exclusive fullscreen" mode. When I load into STO the screen goes blank for a few seconds, the picture returns for a second or so then goes blank again. Note that the monitor doesn't lose power, as the OSD functions still work during this on/off process. Switching to windowed fullscreen solves the issue, however I prefer the game to be in the true fullscreen option so I can have a higher refresh rate set in game.

Anyone knows what could be causing this? It's really annoying to be honest, I'm wondering if it's a driver issue since I did upgrade my Nvidia drivers just yesterday. In which case, anyone running a GTX970 having similar problems?

I do have these problems too. i have a GTX 570. By any chance do you have an AMD FX cpu too ?

Hi Nah, sorry no I'm running an intel i7 5820K. For some reason today the problem has gone away, was able to select fullscreen and change my refresh rate with no issues. Same in Tomb Raider too. Perhaps the problem is solved itself, time will tell.
