I want to see stats before I make a final decision, but I'm very excited about the KDF SV and to a lesser extent the Romulan SV. I can see myself buying the bundle, or at the very least the Naj'Sov.
I was never that crazy about the Nebula, so I can take it or leave it. I already have lots of SV options on the Fed side and I'm not set up to really make Tachyon Beam sizzle.
1st: Yeah !
2nd: let's see the stats. If they are not totally borked, I'll pick up the bundle. Not really a Nebula fan (ingame), but if I pick up the Rom and KDF ship, I might as well just buy the bundle.
Word! Also attn all scrubs! Buy the pack ... or this will be the last science ship for KDF and RR. I'm doing my part as soon as they are up in the store.
Not enough Zen right away to grab the full pack but ill work on it and in time ill be sure to grab it.
I never cared much for the Nebula, didn't really dislike it either but since the Vesta can practically do everything it can and I like that ship better aesthetically speaking, I usually go with the Vesta if I want to play the science way.
But damn, that T6 variant is beautiful. Well done ship artists
It's a damn T6 Vor'Cha and you know it. Just make it interchangeable and don't pull another Guardian.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Well, last Thanksgiving the Federation Carrier was introduced, so I wold assume this week for this bundle. Also with the laggy manner that their News Blogs are being published lately, count on the Stats Blog at no later than tomorrow. And those Blogs have been right on top of events, releases etc. lately as well.
Do our Tachyon Beams strip shields as quickly and as often as the Borg do (never corrected after they buffed Tachyon Beam for Players)?

They don't. Well, maybe if you specialise a lot in draining skills, but otherwise I never bothered with Tachyon beam and just preferred either Exotic damage
or Tykens rift combined with Polaron weapons and Power Siphon if I want to take down enemies' shields.
I quite like the look of the three science ships, and hope that they might allow us to use some design elements/parts from the Aelahl on it. Like the forward/head area as well as the weapon pods on the upper wing pylons of the Aelahl I think would look quite nice on the Laeosa design, and could give more options to the Aelahl class design too.
the rom sci ship is nice, but the console and the starship trait are really crappy. who use the tachyon beam??? when most of the ennemies have 1 billion k shield
Me, and they don't have a billion shield. If I add that trait to my mega drain Tachyon Beam + DSD 2nd deflector, it would pretty much obliterate shields, and the shield hardness AOE reduction would be a bonus.
Yeah, I never really bothered with drain beyond using Polaron weapons and a Plasmonic Leech until recently. For the first time ever I decided to install flow cap consoles about two weeks ago. However, that was for my Tactical captain flying around in the Xyfius Heavy Escort and using Tetryon weapons.
Currently have a Plasmonic Leech installed and two very rare flow cap consoles Mk XII. Don't know how effective drain is though 'cuz most of the time I have been focusing on the Crystalline Cataclysm Event and ground missions.
I saw it on the front page and was very happy. Bonafide, faction Science Vessels.
1. Rom & KDF getting actual faction Science Vessels.
2. KDF design still retaining that Battle Cruiser look.
3. Feds getting a T6 Nebula, which has always had their fans.
Appearance wise, the KDF one has a Vor'Cha look to it but with a Mogh / Kurak design thrown in there.
The Rom one's hull design is a lift from the Aehlal.
This is probably going to be a cross-faction bundle. Combined with being C-Store ships, this is a insta-buy for me.
Seeing "Science Modern Bundle Announcement" I didn't think it could actually be Romulan and Klingon Science ships in the C-Store! And they look great. Whatever mirror universe I fell into, this is awesome.
Considering the Nebula is canon, I fear the copy-paste stats on the Rom & KDF won't be that good, although the Rom ships were at times slightly different than the Fed/KDF counterparts (Morrigu as a heavy (destroyer) warbird vs battlecruisers).
The Eternal's stats are great, with a hangar bay, plus it's a full specialist temporal ship, while these I have no doubt will not have either feature, and they're twice as costly for the pack being faction specific. Either way, I can't see them being bad either. The Arbiter didn't get overshadowed by the Eclipse for example.
As long as it won't be like the Scryer vs Dauntless scenario, then yes, I'm buying the Laeosa for sure and maybe the pack cause I fear Rom/KDF won't be getting much else Sci for a long time after.
I don't care for the Nebula one bit. To me it's just the Galaxy shuffled awkwardly and done cheaply for TNG. But it is nice it can kitbash with the Venture (if we own it) and Andromeda/Yamato as well based on the image.
A T6 Nova will be a must buy next, and given the T6 Sovereign being standalone, maybe that one will be too, so don't think I'll be passing this opportunity for a good looking KDF Sci ship for my Tac Main & Alt Sci while the Sutherland can serve as a good starship trait for the other Fed Sci ships.
Considering the Nebula is canon, I fear the copy-paste stats on the Rom & KDF won't be that good, although the Rom ships were at times slightly different than the Fed/KDF counterparts (Morrigu as a heavy (destroyer) warbird vs battlecruisers).
Theoretically, the romulan version should actually be even better than the other two thanks to the temporal reputation's singularity-core. In case you didn't know: It boosts exotic damage. The warpcore-counterpart doesn't.

Though the trait and the console is the same, we've seen some changes in regards to seating/hp/maneuverability among bundles before (the Morrigu, for instance) We'll have to see, especially as the Nebula's flexibility could justify a lot of seating types.
I am really happy that the Sutherland is taking after the shooting model with its distinct secondary hull (Galaxy inspired, but not a straight Galaxy) and other subtle 'this is the same design era, not a kitbash' elements. That would be the best thing, if the other thing weren't full T6 KDF and RR sciships.

My forum single-issue of rage: Make the Proton Experimental Weapon go for subsystem targetting!
If I would play the market, I would stock up on polarized disruptors. Togehter with the Nausicaan set from the recent episode they are a perfect fit for these ships.
Finally, I've been waiting for this since [redacted] suggested it was coming, 7k of zen ready and waiting for the pack (incase it was three seperate ships)
The kdf and rom boats look awesome, I'm just hoping the KDF ship hasn't been 'borted' by certain devs to seal the fate of kdf ships, and hopefully the setup will be decent (although boy it'll be hard to drop temp powers unless we get something special, like command/pilot or command/intel seating)
Even, so it'll be nice to have a bona fide sci ship choice besides the Cretin, sorry, Krenim and the Fedternal (its look is so fed it hurts, up to the point I've bought ico shields specifically to make the ship look more kdfy)
Nebbie kitbashing will be fun, and hopefully the rom/kdf ships have a few kitbash options (even if I have to buy fleet)
I am quite happy about a science romulan ship. But it looks terribly like the ddex. I really hope its not another big monstrosity like the hannom that handle like an overweight whale.

For all those who were convinced that Cryptic was deaf dumb & blind with respect to the player base, this development should prove otherwise. And now I find myself in the position of having to seriously consider purchasing the BUNDLE, because I have sci captains in all 3 factions. I had already mapped out my endgame ships for all 7 of my 'toons, but this now forces a reconsideration. Well done, Cryptic!

All Science Vessels get access to Secondary Deflector Slots.
The only Cmdr Science BOFF stationed ships that don't are Carriers, because they have the perk of 2 hangar bays.
All I have to say is: ABOUT TIME.
This is good news, indeed.

We've had the T6 Connie they said they'd never do, we've had 2 versions of it!
We've now got T6 RR and KDF science vessels, something that apparently isn't worth it as it doesn't sell......yeah ok.
So what's next? We could be getting anything people have asked for next, as they seem to be going all out for things they refused to do in the past.
