Black Screen when changing systems

I finally managed to get into the game (after 2 failed attempts and half an hour of waiting on the load screen). I thought I'd do a quick refresher and run Aiding the Defera. Sounds like a decent shakedown, right? Nope. Every time, and I mean EVERY time, I change systems the screen goes black without sound. It freezes my display, so I can't even see the task manager when I bring it up. My windows button shows the menu bar, but the black screen from the game stays in front no matter what I do. In the menu bar I'll right click and try to close the game window diredtly, but nothing changes. This is a BRAND NEW MSI Apache laptop with everything current, drivers updated, and my wifi is as decent as Time Warner Cable is willing to provide. When the game runs I have it on high (almost max) settings, so I really don't think it's my system. I get frequent red bars and server not responding messages, though. And login requires safe mode and use of the command bar. Is there any way I can tweak my settings to prevent the screen freezes, or is this game finally officially dead?

I have an update. The game will also stop responding when I enter a system. When I log back in I'm back in sector space like nothing happened. I have a screenshot of my attempt to enter one of the Deferi systems if anyone needs it. I can't go anywhere or get anything done with this. Not that I believe PWE cares.

iv been having the same problems since the so called agents of yesterday update, before that the game ran great now nearly every time i change maps or character i end up with about a 5 min wait to change maps and thats if the game exe dosn`t crash its frustrating as hell, and i can run games like skyrim on ultra high at 1920x 1080 with no problems
