Came across this Captain tonight on Bajor, obviously very near full term. Of all the role playing and whacky outfit combos Ive seen in 6 years playing this game, shes the first pregnant captain Ive ever come across, and it made me chuckle. I PMd the player to ask if the captain was pregnant, and got no response. Normally you dont ask such things in real life, but I figured in make believe STO world, it was ok, lol. Perhaps that player is pregnant in real life.

There's not exactly many cases to go by, is there? Certainly with lower ranking officers there appears to be no interference with their duties, but never with the commanding officer.

Gates McFadden didn't. She took a break for Season 2 while she was pregnant (as opposed to Denise Crosby whose character was just flat-out killed). Crusher has only been present once as far as we know (with Wesley) and that was completely off-screen. B'Ellana in-universe is the same case as Ensign Wildman in that Voyager was stranded - they couldn't go anywhere.

I figured that after the losses at Wolf 359, and during the Dominion War, public opinion strangely changed about civilians wanting to be on board starships I put reference in ULC (I think) 26, where Jedda and Cameron are talking about it, and Jedda says that Command changed the policy due to public opinion
I may be mixing up some concepts here?..
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Considering what the Galaxy Class was "supposed" to be about - long term peaceful exploration (10 year mission?) at extreme ranges (where shore leave, resupply, etc. were to be minimal) - then the thought of having the entire family on-ship would have worked out immensely.
However, when they either power-creeped themselves into a hole, or otherwise realized that Starfleet's "exploration radius" is a lot smaller (ie, you don't need your ship to stay away from friendly shores and shore leaves for 10 years) and started writing a lot of combat into the show (and skimped on blowing budget for a lot of saucer separation segments), the concept of having the whole family along for the war suddenly didn't quite "fit" in.

Seatbelt ? When did starships get seatbelts ?
Or have they always had them but no one ever actually wears them /
IMO having families onboard ship was one of the dumbest things to do. Even if the Galaxy class was built at a time of peace space is still a dangerous place to be in. You'll never know when the holodeck will go crazy and try to take over the ship or some giant space creature decides to eat planets or absorb all energy or space Apollo wants to make humans worship him again.
Let us explore it... together. Each man hides a secret pain. It must be exposed and reckoned with. It must be dragged from the darkness and forced into the light. Share your pain. Share your pain with me... and gain strength from the sharing.
Space is Disease and Danger wrapped in Darkness and Silence.
Anyways... Par for the course for a Starfleet Officer. As Janeway once said... "Weird is what we do."

you're probably thinking of the Alien movies. Wrong kinda pregnancy.
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

In the 23rd century, they were at least required to change outfits because the uniform would become way too short on the bottom.
This guy gets it.
Also, OP....guess you can't see your feet, or skirt, cause you're not matching at all
Actually... Starfleet does have Maternity variants as late as the 2370s.
