Dunno if it's just me, but the Romulan Warbird is getting shafted. The Connie and the D7 has 5 fore 3 aft weapons, and 4 device slots, but the Warbird has 5 fore, 2 aft and 2 device slots. Makes me wonder if this is an oversight and that will be fixed, or if the devs are really shafting the Warbird.

I say this because I am a BIG Romulan fan and I love my Warbirds, but finally we get a decent 3 pack hoping they would be equals, and it seems the Romulans always get the short end of the stick. Is it too much to get a Warbird that has stats that are just as good as their counterparts?

Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, but couldn't the Intel/command/pilot seat be a Tac/eng/sci Universal seat. More like a Uni/Tac seat or Uni/Eng seat? That would open up MILLIONS of combinations to keep the players happy for a VERY LONG time.

Escort vs Battlecruiser. Simple. Warbird gets singularity powers, better cloak, better speed and turn...sacrifices a weapon, and some durability.

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Malem_Light_Warbird
    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Ouroboros_Temporal_Raider (only 6 weapons)
    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Advanced_Escort_(T6)

    etc.

Does it have raider flanking ? No ? Then it should be 4/3 like the Malem it has enhanced battle cloak btw.

Singularity powers already get a power loss no need for extra penalties, they are lack luster anyways now a days with them not scaling well with power creep.

Enhanced cloak is arguably worse or the same effectively NPCs always spot you even with max stealth. Have fun absorbing shots while your shields are down, and not getting any ambush bonus. Almost no ship with this loses anything.

I'm just pointing out it looses 1 weapon for nearly no reason. Now do I think it will be bad because it lost one weapon no, with stats like these. There is little reason to have any other temporal ship.

It's not supposed to have raider flanking, it's not a raider. And a 5/2 weapons can be done on regular "escorts", like the Pilot warbirds or the Xindi contortrix escort. Raiders have 5/1.

Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Hmmm seems they fixed a typo i guess I could have sworn it said 4/2 That is why the raider comment. Raiders have 4/2 and 5/1 just depends.

The stats look great. However I'm not really planning on what gear it will have. Since I doubt I will get one unlocking 4 boxes. Oh well, I have my Geneva planned out.

The "Built to Last" trait seems kind of lackluster when compared to all the various damage buff starship traits that are now available.

The Corbomite Maneuver seems kind of "meh" in a game where things tend to die within 3 seconds of opening fire.

The Molecular Deconstruction beam is something I played with on my Paladin, and honestly it was nothing to write home about.
Really? Because I've taken to calling it the "Hand of the Sisko".

Seeing the stats on these ships, its like buying a Porche and then getting your TRIBBLE kicked in a race by a pimped out horse and buggy.

I was really excite to see a T6 TOS connie and a d3 battlecruiser and a romulan TOS escort. my excitement turned to disappointment when I see they are not part of the zen store. Sorry Cryptic but this was one pack I would have bought without question but since there is only a small chance forget it.

Five forward weapons, one Commander and three Lieutenant Commander BOFF seats, no Ensign or Lieutenant seats to clutter your keybinds with a surplus of low rank abilities, and base turn rates (on the Constitution and Klingon D7) that outshine the Federation Avenger and KDF Kurak battle cruisers. These three ships are, mechanically, everything I've wanted in a Star Trek Online ship and more.

AND they're in the goddamn R&D packs, probably with a drop rate comparable to the chance of being struck by lightning.

You know what? I'm done. The only way to win an MMO is to quit it, and this promotion just helped me win STO.

    You're done? . . . . Dibs on your stuff! :D

For T6 ships I'm all for no Ensign seating, but you're right, these ship stats are just blatant TRIBBLE to the playerbase.

I've been waiting for a Lobi store sale to get the Vengeance, but now this KT shuttlecraft-sized cruiser will have the same firepower. Makes getting the Vengy less desireable. Thanks Cryptic! You just saved me spending my lobi! :*

Wrong. The look is the BEST thing, and something to be cherished. That Romulan Bird of Prey paint job has always made it (for me, and many other Romulan fans) the most beautiful of all the Star Trek ships. The only thing I ground my teeth about with my beloved T'Varo was that I couldn't use a T'Liss skin on her. This utterly rules!

No, the only thing to grind the teeth over here is the presentation via R&D gamble box, instead of a straight C-Store purchase. I'd gladly have bought all of these outright as Account unlocks for Zen. As single character unlocks (and, even worse, mere CHANCES for single character unlocks), not so much.

Can anyone let us know if the T'Liss comes with the option to use the I.R.W. prefix?

When you unpack the British version of the T6 Connie... it doesn't come with "The Corbomite Maneuver"...

... instead, it comes with "The Corbynite Maneuver":
Activation of this console ability will cause holograms to materialise on all your bridge seating, forcing you and all your crew to sit on the floor... nearby enemies are confused by this action. There is a 25% chance that holograms will fail and bearded enemies will become aggravated towards your ship.

I guess to each their own, but for me personally the 23c look doesn't work.

As for the 5/3 layout for the connie, does it really matter?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

The Connie definitely looks like a ship that focuses its firepower forward. It seems to make visual sense to me that the front has more slots than the aft. (And it becomes more so when you slot all those TOS Phasers on it.)

Of course, that doesn't change that it's power creep.

Yes,that's in the previous blog: http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/10131073-r&d-pack-promotion
    • The Temporal Light Cruiser has access to the Constitution Refit, Excalibur and Vesper costumes for free and it can use the Exeter’s costume if that starship is owned.
    • The D7 Temporal Battlecruiser has access to the K’t’inga and K’t’inga Refit costumes for free and it can use the Koro’t’inga’s costume if that starship is owned.
    • The T’liss Temporal Warbird has access to the T’varo costume for free and it can use the Malem’s costume if that starship is owned.
I really wonder how it will work switching between the models. I don't think we'll be able to mix TOS Connie parts with any of the Tier 2 TOS movie Refit based parts, but I wonder if we can still mix and match the various Tier 2 costume parts.

It does raise the question of people who own T1/T2 Connies. IIRC they are treated as distinct and you can't apply the T2 skins to the T1 or vice versa. If they unlock the ability for the T6... will the door swing both ways?

Would like to know this as well.

I can't see why it wouldn't, spoiling the designation despite the canon look.

Most if not all T6 C-Store warbirds force R.R.W. cause we're all supposed to be good friendly republicans now 'and like it or else', but when it comes to the very expensive rare stuff (lobi, lockbox, promo), then sure, forget republicans, we get our I.R.W. to role play as whatever we wish.

    I.R.W. = $$$
R.R.W. = not enough vesphene gas good little republican

Unlock I.R.W. on ALL warbirds please and thank you.

Considering the last (or ones of the last) ships released before Delta Rising were 4 Boff station ones like the Nicor warship and the Patrol escort refit (obviously unique with their 2 Lt.Comm stations barring some earlier carriers), arguments can indeed be made for Tier 7 incoming now that the Devs resorted to 3 Lt.Comm stations on Tier 6.

But damn, I hope this is just an aberration and will try to forget these ships even exist at Tier 6.

I'm with Dracounguis on this one.

Yeah, @ICONIANS: Please don't speak for me either. Not this time.

I just don't think it was right the thing to do with the TOS connie, the ship should have been in the big temporal pack if you ask me.

I completely understand why the KT connie would be in a lotobox, it's from an alternate timeline and all. Fine, let's keep it rare.

But making the TOS connie a lotoprise too, that just really just crosses it in my opinion, especially at the 50th and especially in keeping with the theme of this expansion.

Imagine a new player, interested in the game, buys the pack, (no chump change neither), then finds out that even tho the TOS connie is in the pack, it doesn't include the T6 version like all the other ships. Sorry, you have to gamble to get the T6 version, just because a lot of players wanted it. Nice.

Couldn't they have thrown us a friggin bone for the anniversary? Just this once? It's not like 50 year anniversaries come around everyday, It's not like we've haven't been asking for a T6 connie for FOREVER.

It's not like we've been asking for the ship for free either, (although I'm sure some would have).
And It's not like they haven't already made a stash on the KT connie frenzy already.

I sure hope they make it clear that the T6 connie IS NOT included in the temporal pack in the description, cause you know there's gonna be confusion, especially since it was the only ship handled this way. :s

Putting this ship, THESE SHIPS, in the temporal pack: STILL coulda made real decent money by selling a lot more of the packs, (AGAIN NO CHUMP CHANGE HERE), and it could have attracted KDF, Rommie players to buy the packs by offering them, Oh I don't know... SOMETHING.

Having a TOS expansion, and selling an expansion pack excluding the T6 connie, THE most iconic ship of the entire franchise and then adding it to one of these gamble packs may make good business sense, if one wanted to needlessly fleece the fans of the franchise, but the sad part is, it really didn't have to go down this way.

So...having them pack ships that a large amount of the playerbase has been waiting for into the by far worst "lockbox" they have on the store is somehow good for the playerbase?

It's more than twice as expensive as opening a lockbox, but without the consolation prizes.
