All I'm saying is lets make it fit story wise... as being stuck in one and half years and having all these major wars is whats stupid... having no sense of time when we are talking about traveling distances that take weeks or months..
We have only had two major wars though, and the first one, the Klingon War, started long before the game began.

    umm...what...

Klingon war was the opening event of the game.. you have these major wars/conflicts.

    Klingon war
Dominion invasion of DS9 (with over 2400 enemy star ships)
Borg Conflict (you know battle group omega used to be more relevant in STO as it was the prime STF's for the game)
Undine invasion (we have a battle zone for this not sure how you forgot this one as well as they blew up ESD and KDF orbital station)
The Voth War (again we have not just a space but a ground battle zone for this war as well)
    The Delta Quadrant war
The Iconian invasion (this one by far as in story has been the most devastating as they talk about colonies with millions being killed as well as thousands of ships being destroyed)

That's 7 wars and major conflicts in less then 18 months.....

Erm, actually, the Klingon-Federation War started in 2405. It ended by 2410 in-game though. Iconian War was like about a few months long. So the war with the Klingons lasted longer then the Iconian War. A total of five years for the Klingon-Federation War - FIVE YEARS. Also, the Delta Quadrant and Voth "Wars" were actually interventions by the Alliance, sorta like a UN intervention. So in reality, there were actually only 3 known wars in STO lore; the Klingon-Federation War, the Klingon-Gorn War, and the Iconian War.

Not sure why you guys are having such a hard issue with the fact its a war... wars are not defined by a time limit, loss's, they do not need to be declared by any party... the only thing that defines a war is a armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state. That is the definition of war.

The problem is you are trying to define wars based on formal declaration.. That is not what defines a war...

Ya that's why I said the KDF was war was the opening event of the game.. it what the whole back drop for the game at the start..

The Voth delared the dyson sphere as thiers and demanded the Alliance leave or face war... so the it was a war..

The Vaudwaar out right declared war...

The Undine declared war.. the weak shall parish.. Also the massive loss of ships around ESD and the destruction of ESD to the point that the federation could only send a half dozen ships from all over the beta quadrent to assit in the defense of the Klingons.. the Klingons lost one of there mass orbital stations as well as large loss over Earth and Qonos.

The Borg.. well they are always in a state of war with everyone else.. just because of who they are. in game this was a much bigger arc for awhile.. Task Force Omega was the end game for longer then any other story arc. There is a meeting on Ds9 to discuss the war with the borg with the lost Dominion fleet attacked.

Dominon invasion of Ds9 this is the only one that a grey area as Dominion government was not attacking the federation.. and the forces attacking were rogue even though when they attacked they were following out dated orders for war.. still many ships were destroyed as the Federation and KDF was trying to contain 2400 warships.

Iconian... This one is the only war that the Alliance was out right losing from the start.. and loss's were massives....

As I stated this isn't about war or not.. its about that fact that the Federation, Romulan Republic and Klingons have been in conflct and taking massives loss's with no time frame to rebuild fleets and train new crews.. and yet there is nothing showing any strain or recuperation in the game from all this. Romulians are a fraction of the former empire they shouldn't be poping out new ships like candy. War wearness on economy and troop loss should of taken effect by now.

That's the whole point of moving the time frame up 5 years.. 5 years is not that huge a time as well as give story reasons the Alliance is rebuilding from its loss's... As well as opens up older zones for some revamping.. like new Romulus.. maybe so they aren't living in tents any more... I mean if they can rebuild fleets at the speed they have been.. housing should be pretty fast as well...

5 years isn't really going to change a huge amount.. technology shouldn't be advancing like it has been in the last year of game time... the current rate of new ships and technology is way to fast. It also gives the a reason to update some zones as well.. I'm talking about a expansion.. not a new season of content.. you know maybe we can get a real expansion that expands on STO and shows the cuase and effect of our actions..
